Natural Interest:
The success of your career mostly depends on your meticulous planning. By the time, you complete standard X you should have fairly good idea about your future. What subjects am I to choose at the higher secondary level? Should I go in for science of arts? Can I cope with science and mathematics? Are biology and zoology too difficult for me to study? Am I Good at accounts? Will economics pose any problem for me? These queries deal with your abilities and intelligence.
However, that you plan to become depends on your natural interest and inclination, which should be supported by your inherent intelligence and skills. Besides, the future demands of the job market also have a bearing on the choice of your subjects at the higher secondary level.
Planning Career - Deciding upon a course of study:
At the completion of the higher secondary course, you have to take the final career decision. This is a stage when you can slightly alter your career track, if feel that your academic performance has not your satisfaction and there is also significant change in the market trends.
Based on all these factors, and your family condition, you have to take the final plunge. What should I be? -a doctor, an engineer, a scientist, teacher or a businessman. Once you decide upon a course of study, you have to pursue it with diligence and dedication and complete it with success.
Planning Career - Personal Assessment:
Now you have reached the stage of career planning. Your starting point should be to conduct a 'Know thyself' programme - a sort of personal assessment. You have acquired through your long period of school and college education, real experience in the world and short tenures of jobs, certain abilities, skills and talents and specific knowledge that would be your major assets in the job market
