Admission Announcement for Two-Year Full Time Post Graduate Programme in Forestry Management

IIFM is a leading sectoral management Institute in Asia and ranked 4th among the management schools in Central & Eastern India. Established in 1982, the centre of excellence in sectoral management, to cater to the growing needs for resource in forestry and allied sector. The institute is engaged in education, research, training and consulting in the field of Forestry & Natural Resource Management.

Post Graduate Programme is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) & Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Financial Assistance Monthly stipend shall be given to all selected students as per the Institute’s rules.

Eligibility The minimum eligibility criteria for admission is at least a three year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE as eligible for Post Graduate studies with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST or Persons with Disability category).

Reservation of seats for SC, ST and physically handicapped candidates are available as per Govt. of India rules.

Candidates appearing for the final graduate examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete it by June 30, 2007.

How to Apply

• All applicants seeking admission in PFM at IIFM have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT), that will be held on 19th November, 2006. The CAT application form and bulletin can be obtained from selected branches of UTI Bank from July 17 till August 17, 2006; The last date for submitting CAT application is 9th September, 2006. The IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing of the candidates for postgraduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

• IIFM Application Form: Candidates should also obtain IIFM application form personally or by sending Demand draft of Rs.700/- (350/- for SC & ST). in favour of The Director IIFM, payable at Bhopal. The application form can also be downloaded from the website given below but in such cases the filled-in forms must accompany a Bank Draft of the specified amount.

• GD / Interview Short-listed candidates shall be called for Group Discussion and Interview at IIFM, Bhopal on or before 20th November 2006.

SAARC & Foreign Nationals / NRI
Admission under these categories will be based on separate selection system as mentioned in IIFM admission bulletin 2007-09.
