Hearing / Linguistics CRC Scholarship Tinnitus and Remediation and its Remediation A full time domestic PhD scholarship is available in the Department of Linguistics, in conjunction with the Hearing Co-operative Research Centre.
This project AIMS to assess the subjective changes in tinnitus throughout a tinnitus remediation program and correlate this with changes in cortical auditory activity measured objectively.
It also AIMS to identify whether objective measurement can be used to tailor remediation programs to individuals. Suitable applicants would have a background in the measurement of evoked potentials.
Hearing / Linguistics CRC Scholarship Tinnitus and Remediation is available to domestic students. Applicants should have equivalent research qualifications to an Australian undergraduate degree with first class honours (such as a Masters degree with a substantial thesis component) in a relevant discipline (such as Cognitive Psychology, Behavioural Neuroscience).
Candidates who have experience working with patient groups and/or neuroimaging are particularly encouraged to apply.
