Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarships – TGRS Scholarships 2010
The University of Tasmania offers a wide range of tax free scholarships to assist candidates to complete their graduate research degree on a full-time basis. Scholarships available include Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarships (TGRS), Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA), Australian Postgraduate Awards Industry (APAI), Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) scholarships and industry-funded scholarships. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and research potential.

Before applying for a scholarship prospective candidates should investigate current areas of research strength at TGRS and must discuss their interests and options with the Graduate Research Coordinator and/or potential supervisors in the discipline where they wish to study.
In 2009 there will be two main domestic scholarship rounds:
- Mid-year Round – now closed.
- Major Round – opens early September 2009 and closes 31 October 2009.
The Tasmania Scholarships Program provides students with significant financial and academic support to study at the University of Tasmania. Awards are offered in a wide range of disciplines and selection is based on academic merit and/or financial need. They are available to students studying at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate coursework levels.
