Women-in-Development Faculty Fellowships (2) for Teaching and Research or research in a specific field of India Studies
For (a), (c), (d) and (f) from three to twelve months (b) one year (renewable under certain circumstances), (c) and (e) varies, (g) one year, (h) summer term, (i) four months, tenable from (a) to (g) in institutes or universities in India, (h) in Canadian institutions in cities other than the one in which the student is studying.
Eligibility: Citizens and permanent residents of Canada: (a), (c) and (d) with full-or part-time appointments in a Canadian institution and who plan to return to Canada following the tenure of the Fellowship, (b) who are entering or enrolled in a degree programme leading to specialization in India, (e) artists who have demonstrated sustained commitment to the Performing Arts of India, (who have completed a Ph.D. degree or will have completed it prior to taking up the fellowship, (g) who are enrolled in the third or fourth year or undergraduate study in a Canadian University, (h) who are enrolled as full-time students in a Canadian University (i) who hold a full or part-time appointment in a Canadian institution of higher education and have an established record of teaching and/or research in the field of Women and Development.
Value: (a), (c), (d) and (f) Rs.12,000 per month living allowance and Rs. 3,000 per month for research (b) Rs, 8,000 per month leaving allowance and Rs. 3,000 per month for research (e) from Rs. 8,000 to. Rs.12,000 per month leaving allowance and 3,000 rupees per month for instructional expenses $2,000 (h) $2,500 (i) the equivalent in rupees of $ t,365 living allowance per month and of $1,000 per month for research.
International travel will be arranged and paid for by the Institute except for (g). All Fellows. are eligible for a fixed dependents' allowance of 1,000 rupees per month.
When and whom to apply: From (a) to (f) by 30th June and 31st January for (g), (h) and (i) to the Programme Secretary to the Programme Coordinator at the above address.
