Academic The artist should have achieved excellence in her/his respective field and should be able to provide evidence thereof

Selection Procedure A Selection Committee of experts in various fields, constituted by the Department of Culture selects from among the nominations

Notified through a circular to State Governments/ UT Administrations and Central/ State Academies of Art in June–July

Notification and Deadline Notified through leading English dailies in March/April. Deadline as per the notification.
