Two Scholarships are offered to Indian nationals residing in India.

Fine Arts Greek Language: History and Archaeology Modern Greek Studies Archaeology and Art , Pharmacy Veterinary Medicine Naval/Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration Engraving/ Sculpture. Duration: 10 months to 1-3 years.

Eligibility: For subjects at (a) 3 years (25 years for SC/ST), may be relaxed up to 3 months in case of deserving candidates.

Qualification: Fine Arts 5 years national diploma/Degree in Fine Arts. Preference is given to Graduates or Post-Graduates in the Greek Language.

History and Archaeology, Modern Greek Studies, Archaeology and Art. First Class Masters Degree in the area of Study. First class M.Pharm. Degree. Veterinary Medicine First class MVSc. degree Naval/Mechanical Engg. First class M. Tech/ ME (Naval Mech. Engg.) Business Administration First Class MBA degree. 60% marks should have been obtained at the qualifying exam. Also: Adequate knowledge of Greek/English/French and Geography, Culture and Heritage of India and Greece. 3/5 years consecutive stay in India after return from abroad for study/training. Ph.D. degree holders are not eligible.

Value: For subjects at (A) above Allowance of 45,000 Drachmas p.m. (Approx. US $ 280) for PG students; initial settlement allowance of 10,000 Drachmas (Approx. US $ 63) for University of Athens and 20,000 Drachmas (Approx. US $ 1 25) for university outside Athens; 10,000 Drachmas for travel in the country if required for their research work; free tuition and medical

For subjects at (b) allowance of 40,000 Drachmas p.m. for living expenses; 50,000 Drachmas for initial expenses; up to 60,000 Drachmas for drafting and typing of Ph.D. Dissertation; up to 60,000 Drachmas. for laboratory expenses if these constitute a compulsory part of study; exemption from tuition fees; free medical care. No support is offered for conferences, seminars, symposia/research or for any dependent of a scholarship holder.

Passage Cost: From India to Greece and back is payable by the candidate/sponsors/employer; it can be met by Govt. of India under special circumstances, subject to availability of funds etc.

Typed application (in prescribed format) with attested copies of testimonials, photograph, medical fitness certificate, proposed programme of study/research and other documents may be submitted on plain paper by prescribed date. Employed persons are expected to send their applications through employer. Advance application (with IPO) may be considered if the original is subsequently received through the employer within two weeks.
