1 or 2 studentships are offered worldwide at the research level for a period of one year in the first instance, and may be renewed one year at a time, to a maximum of three years.

Subject: History.

Eligibility: Candidates must be, or about to become graduate students of a recognized University, pursuing original research in history. Preference will be given to those who have already made substantial progress with their research.

Value: To be determined by the Managers, taking into consideration the amount or any other emoluments received. The maximum value will not exceed the value of a British Academy postgraduate maintenance award.
