Eligibility: Applicants must hold, or expect to obtain, an honors degree (normally a first or a good upper second) of a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must have been accepted for a Master's/Ph D research programme in the above-mentioned areas, and should therefore first send in their application to the department in which they propose to work.
Value: Scholarships covering tuition fees to a maximum of £ 2,200 per annum, bursaries of up to £ 1,000. These awards may be used to supplement financial support obtained from other sources.

Partial Tuition Fees Scholarships for Overseas Students: 30 scholarships are offered for countries outside the EU for Undergraduates as well as Postgraduate students for one year in the first instance, renewable subject to satisfactory progress.
Subject: Unrestricted (excluding MBA).
Eligibility: Applicants must be liable to pay tuition fees at the 'full-cost' rate for overseas students.
Undergraduates: Applicants with outstanding results in GCE 'A' Level (or equivalent) examinations. Only the candidate, who has firmly accepted an offer of a place, can be considered for the scholarships.
Postgraduates: Applicants must have qualifications equivalent to a first or upper second class honors degree of a British University, or a higher degree. Awards will only be made to candidates who have already been offered a place on a degree course.
Value: £ 2,590 (Science/Eng.) or £ 1,960 (others) per annum.

Postgraduate Scholarships: These scholarships are offered worldwide at Higher degree level for a maximum of three years.
Subject: Unrestricted.
Eligibility: Applicants must hold, or expect to obtain, an honors degree (normally a first or a good upper second) from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification. They must also have been offered a place on a higher degree programme in one of the University's Schools. Application should therefore be made i to the department in which the candidate proposes to study in the first place. Preference will be given to those wishing to read for a higher degree by research, though entrants to the Master's programmes are not excluded.
Value: 'Fees only' scholarships covering tuition fees at the home/EU rate.

Eligibility: Available to applicants according to academic ability and personal need, for any of the Department's full-time postgraduate programs leading to a higher degree.
Value: One 'full' scholarship (at 'home' rate approximately £ 6,000), two 'half' scholarships (approximately £ 3,000 each) and seven 'part' scholarships (£ 1,000 each).
