YUGOSLAV GOVERNMENT SCHOLARHIPS

5 scholarships are offered to Indian Nationals in the following subject fields:

(1) Economic Planning Minimum Qualifications: Uniformly good academic record with 60% marks or above marks at the Master's Degree in Economics.

(2) Ceramic and Glass Technology Minimum Qualifications: Uniformly good academic record with 60% or above marks at B.Sc/B.E degree.

(3) Naval Architecture

(4) Fisheries Technology Minimum Qualifications: Uniformly good academic record with 60% or above marks at B.Sc./ B.E degree.

Essential Experience: At least two years teaching/research practical experience as on January in the subject field selected after the prescribed qualifications (M.Phil/Research for Ph.D.is counted towards one year experience).

Age: 33 years as on April but relaxable up to 2 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Value: It carries the following allowance payable by the Government of Yugoslavia. The scholarship holders receive boarding and lodging in student hostels. Besides this, they get a 5258 Dinars pocket money and 2190 Dinars in one disbursement towards books, travel expenses in the country and within the specialization programme. Passage

Cost: The cost of passage from India to Yugoslavia and back borne by the candidate or his/her sponsors/employers. Subject to the availability of funds, the passage cost may also be met by the Government of India, provided the candidate is eligible under the rules subject to income criterion.

Duration: 3 years.

Common Requirements/Value of Scholarships: Indian nationals residing in India. The applications will normally be accepted from those candidates who have graduated first degree programme of scholar within the last ten years. Scholarships cover tourist-class air passage (both ways), fees, adequate maintenance and other allowances.
