Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research invites applications for admission to the following Programs 2010 :

Project Oriented Chemical Education (POCE)

Project Oriented Biological Education (POBE)

These programs, conducted in summer for 6 - 8 weeks (~ mid May to July), are aimed at infusing creativity and scientific temper into undergraduates, and involve lectures, laboratory projects and research work.

Selected students are expected to work at the Centre for three consecutive summers, and will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs.5000/- per month during their period of stay at the Centre.

Upon successful completion of the program, the students will receive a diploma in Chemistry or Biology from the Centre.

Those who complete the POCE / POBE program with outstanding performance will be eligible for JNCASR admission to the MS - PhD program in the Centre subject to satisfactory performance in the interview.

Eligibility for JNCASR Admission 2010 :

1. POCE Program :

Students presently studying in 1st Year B.Sc (preferably with PCM combination).

2. POBE Program :

Students presently studying in 1st Year B.Sc (preferably having Biology as one of the subjects).
