National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) an autonomous body under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Goverment of India is a national resource centre for persons with Multiple Disabilities such as those with two or more disabilities in a person.

NIEPMD invites applications from candidates for admission to the following courses recognized by RCI, Goverment of India, New Delhi for the academic year 2009-10.

1 B.Ed Special Education (Multiple Disabilities) 1 year 10 Rs.500/-(Rs.350 for SC/ST/PH) Degree in Science or Arts in the pattern of 10+2+3.

2 B.M.Sc Bachelor in Mobility Science 1 year 10 Degree in Science in the pattern of 10+2+3.

3 Diploma in Education-Special Education (Deaf blindness) 1 year 14 Rs.300/-(Rs.200 for SC/ST/PH) A pass in HSC/10+2/ Intermediate in the pattern

4 Diploma in Education-Special Education (Cerebral Palsy) 1 year 14 of 10+2

5 Diploma in Education-Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorders) 1 year 14

6 Certificate course in Prosthetic & Orthotic (CPO) 1 year 10 Rs.200 (Rs.150 for SC/ST/PH) Certificate from I.T.I, in any of the trades of Fitter / Carpenter / leather (OR) A pass in SSLC / X std / Matriculation with 2 yrs. working experience in recognized P&O centre

Approval with RCI is in process.

"Candidates appearing for Final year examination can also apply. Admission is subject to successful completion of the degree course.

Reservation of seats: As per the existing Central Government, norms.
