Admission to Post Graduate Programmes: 2009-10 Applications in prescribed forms are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following Programmes: NERIST 2009 Programmes and Eligibility Criteria: M.Sc.in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics: B.Sc. with 60% marks in Major / honours subject for General Category. Percentage of marks are likely to be revised for M.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics). M.Sc.in Forestry: 4 years B.Sc. in Forestry/Agriculture/Horticulture with 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA 3.25 on a 5.00 point scale for General Category. 3 years B.Sc.in Botany & Zoology is also eligible to apply, but they will have to undergo - additional one year Bridge Course. MBA: Bachelor's degree in any discipline recognized by UGC / AICTE with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates have to appear Written Test followed by GD and PI. CAT and MAT qualified candidates are exempted from the written test only.

Admission to M.Tech. Programmes: Candidates must have at least 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 3.25 in 5.00 point scale for General Category with valid GATE score.

M.Tech.in Farm Machinery & Power: B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent in Agricultural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.

M.Tech.in Environmental Science & Engineering: B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering / Agricultural Engineering/Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering.

M.Tech.in Computer Science & Engineering: B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering.

M.Tech.Power System Engineering: B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Power System Engineering.

M.Tech.in Computer Integrated Manufacturing & Automation: B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering.

M.Tech.Information Technology: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Electrical Engineering / information Technology.

Relaxation: 5% marks will be relaxed to SC/ST/PH category candidates for all courses.

How to apply for NERIST 2009: Information Brochure along with the Application form may be obtained from 18th May to 19th June, 2009, either personally from the PG & R Cell, Academic Section of the Institute on cash payment of Rs.500.00 during Office hours or by sending a request along with a Demand Draft of Rs.550.00.

The Application forms received after 19th June, 2009 will not be considered in any case.
