AMET University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2013 :

| Graduate Mechanical Engineering | Graduate in B.E. ( Mechanical ) Engineering / Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 50% in final year and should have obtained 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th Standard or in the Degree / Diploma course conducted by the Board or any University. |
| B.E. Marine Engineering ( 4 Years ) | A pass in Plus - two ( 12th Standard ) or its equivalent, with minimum 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English. |
| B.Sc. Mautical Science ( 3 Years ) | |
| B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering ( 4 Year ) | A Pass in Plus - two ( 12th Standard ) or its equivalent, with minimum 60% Marks aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized Board. |
| B.E. Marine Electrical and Electronics Engineering ( 4 Year ) | |
| B.E. Harbour Engineering and Offshore Technology ( 4 Year ) | |
| B.E. Petroleum and off - shore Engineering ( 4 Year ) | A Pass in Plus 2 ( 12th Standard ) or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks each in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and 55% marks in English from any recognized Board. An Aptitude for field work is necessary. |
| B.B.M. Shipping | Pass in Higher Secondary with 50% marks. Test for proficiency in English will be conducted and candidates securing below 50% will be required to take special coaching to bridge the gap in communication. |

| MBA Shipping & Logistics Management ( 2 Year ) | i. Any degree from a recognized University with 50 % marks. ( or ) ii. Mariners holding the following professional qualification obtained after a minimum duration of study - cum - Training of 6 Years after 10+2 leading to : a. Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency. ( or ) b. First Class Motor or Steam or Combined ( Chief Engineer ) Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India or its counterparts in other countries. |
| MBA Shipping Finance ( 2 Year ) | |
| MBA Marine Human Resources Management ( 2 Year ) | |
| MBA Cruise Ship Hospitality Management ( 2 Year ) | Any degree from a recognized University with 50% marks. |
| M.Sc. Fleet Operations Management | 1. Candidates possessing Master FG / MOT 1st Class ( Motor Certificate of Competency ). 2. Candidates with UG Degree and possessing Mates / 2nd Class ( Motor ) certificates of competency. 3. Candidates with Extra Master / Extra First Class certificates of competency. ( Due credits will be given for the subjects, if any, already covered). 4. Candidates with appropriate certificates of competency ( deck or engine ) and who have also passed the Membership examination of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London. 5. Candidates with qualifications equivalent to the any one of the above. |
| M.Sc. Marine Bio - Technology | 1. Bachelor degree from any recognized universities, in any branch of Life Sciences with not less than 55%. 2. Candidates awaiting for final year results also can apply. |
| M.Tech. Marine Engineering Management | 1. Candidates possessing MOT 1st Class ( Motor ) Certificate of competency. 2. Candidates possessing UG degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering and MOT 2nd Class ( Motor ) certificate of competency. 3. Candidates with Extra First Class certificate of competency ( Due credit will be given for the subjects, if any, already covered ). |
