Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre invites admission application for Under Graduate & Post Graduate courses 2013.
AIMS Amrita University Admission Eligibility 2013 :

1. | Master in Dental Surgery ( MDS ) | Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology, Oral Medicine & Radiology, Periodontology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Public Health Dentistry | BDS degree from a recognized Dental college and permanent registration from any of the state Dental Councils. Those who are due to complete their compulsory rotating internship on or before 30th April 2013 are also eligible to apply. Such candidates should produce their registration certificate on or before 10th May, 2013. Failure to produce Registration certificate as above may lead to cancellation of admission and in such an event the candidate will be responsible to pay the Institution all the losses the Institution may suffer on account of such cancellation. Age : Candidates should not cross the age of 30 Years as on 31st December, 2013. |
2. | MD / MS Courses | MD Clinical Courses : General Medicine, Anesthesiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Medicine, Radio diagnosis, Geriatrics, Dermatology,Venerology & Leprosy, Radiotherapy, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Nuclear Medicine MD Non - Clinical Courses : Forensic Medicine, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Pathology, Community Medicine MS Courses : General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Oto-Rhinolaryngology, Orthopaedics | For MD / MS Clinical subjects, only those candidates who have not crossed the age of 30 years as on 31st December, 2013 are eligible to apply. Date of birth as recorded in the 10th standard / school leaving certificate will be taken as authentic. Age relaxation will be considered for candidates with higher qualification in the concerned subject. For MD / MS Non clinical and PG Diploma courses age limit will not be applicable. Candidate must secure a rank in the Entrance test conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. A candidate, who holds MBBS degree from a recognized Medical College included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical council Act, 1956 and has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the state Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship. Candidates who, after passing the final qualifying examination (MBBS or the foreign medical degree recognized by MCI ), if undergoing 12-month compulsory rotating internship / practical training and is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March, 2013. However candidates who secured their MBBS Degrees from Foreign Universities should have passed the Screening Test conducted by the National Board of Examinations or any other agency nominated by the Medical Council of India and obtain registration with the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils. |

4. | MSc - Nursing | - Medical - Surgical Nursing - Psychiatric Nursing - Pediatric Nursing - Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing | The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with any State Nursing Council. The candidate should have passed BSc Nursing or BSc Hons. Nursing or Post Basic BSc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an Institution recognized by INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL. Candidates should be medically fit. Minimum 1 Year of work experience after basic BSc Nursing or prior or after Post Basic BSc Nursing. Selection Criteria : Selection is based on the rank obtained in the All India entrance test conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. |
5. | M.Pharm | - Pharmacy Practise ( Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy ) - Pharmaceutics - Pharmaceutical Chemistry | Pass in B. Pharm degree from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India ( PCI ) with atleast 50% marks for all the subjects of B. Pharm course from second year to fourth year. Preference will be given to GATE / GPAT qualified candidates. Candidates with valid GPAT score card, once admitted to M pharm are eligible to receive monthly stipend as per AICTE norms. Admission Procedure : Selection is based on the marks obtained in qualifying examination and a personal Interview. Admission will be governed by rules & regulations laid down by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham,the University. |
6. | Pharm.D. ( Post Baccalaureate ) | Pass in B. Pharm degree from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India ( PCI ) with atleast 50% marks for all the subjects of B. Pharm course from second year to fourth year. Candidates with GATE / GPAT score preferred. Admission Procedure : Selection is based on the marks obtained in qualifying examination and a personal Interview. Admission will be governed by rules & regulations laid down by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham,the University. |

7. | Pharm.D | Minimum 17 years of age and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December, 2013. A Pass in any of the following examinations : (i) Plus two examination with 50% in Physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology. (ii) A pass in D Pharm from an institution approved by Pharmacy council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. (iii) Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Selection Criteria : Selection is based on the rank obtained in the All India entrance test conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. |
