Invites Application for Registration for the following Courses under Correspondence, External & Open University Schemes for the Academic Year 2006-2007

1. Open University Courses
B.A.(Kannada/English Medium) - 3 Yrs
B.Com (English Medium only) - 3 Yrs
Eligibility
No educational qualification is prescribed
Those who have completed 18 years of age as on 1st July 2006.
2. Correspondence Courses
B.A. (Kannada/English Medium) - 3 Yrs

B.B.M. (English Medium only) - 3 Yrs
M.A. Kannada, English, Hindi Telugu, Urdu - 2 Yrs
M.A. History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology (Kannada / English Medium) - 2 Yrs
M.A. – 2 Yrs
Philosophy, (English Medium) - 2 Yrs
M. Com (English Medium only) - 2 Yrs
M. Sc. Mathematics (English Medium only) - 2 Yrs
Pass in Pre-University Examination of Karnataka or any equivalent examination thereto (10+2 Pattern)

B.A. / B. Sc / B. Com. Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree Thereto with 55% of the language concerned Under Part-1 or 50% of marks in the Concerned optional OR who have passed Examination as noted below shall be eligible For registration to Master’s degree course Along with the above degree.
a). Pass in Kannada Rathna or Pandit examination for M.A. in Kannada
b). Pass in Rastrabhasha Visharada Examination of Dakshinabharat Hindi Prachara Sabha or any other examination Considered as equivalent thereto for M.A. In Hindi.
B.A. Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with 40% of marks in the aggregate of the optional subjects and at least 50% of marks in the concerned optional or major subjects of course.
Bachelor Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto With Philosophy, Logic, Ethics, Religion Theology, Aesthetics, Yoga or Sanskrit as One of the Optional subjects and at least 50% of the marks in the concerned optional subject OR those with a degree in Arts or Science with minimum 50% of marks in Aggregate of optional are also eligible.
B.Com Degree examination of any Recognized University or equivalent Degree thereto securing not less than 50% Of marks in the aggregate in Commerce Subjects in all the examinations of the B. Com degree course.
B. Sc. Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto securing not less than 40% of marks in the aggregate in optional subjects and 50% of marks in the Mathematics. (Candidates who have passed Mathematics as Minor or Subsidiary subject are not eligible)
3. External Courses
M.A. In Sanskrit - 2 Yrs
M.A. In French - 2 Yrs
B.A./B. Sc/B. Com. Degree of any Recognized University or equivalent Degree thereto with 55% marks in the Language concerned under part-1 OR Those who have passed B.A./B. Sc/ B. Com. Degree examination and who Have passed Sahitya Examination shall Be eligible for registration to Master Degree in Sanskrit.
B.A. French or B.A./B. Sc/B. Com. Degree with French as Second Language Of any recognized University and with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks OR B.A./B. Sc/B. Com. Of Bangalore University or any other University Recognized as equivalent thereto with Diploma of Superior of the Alliance Franchise in any other recognized Institution.
4. Post Graduate Diploma Courses – 1 Year Course i)Human Resource Management, ii) Business Administration, iii) Marketing Management iv) Gandhi an Studies – (English Medium) – For all these courses any Degree of recognized University or equivalent degree thereto v) Translation in Hindi – Any Degree of recognized University with Hindi as subject at the degree level OR any degree with pass in Rastra Basha Visharada or an y other Equivalent examination recognized thereto.
5. Diploma Courses (English Medium only) – 1 Year Course i)Applied Nutrition & Dietetics – Pass in PUC or equivalent examination with Home Science / Chemistry as Optional Subject. ii) Women and Entrepreneurship – No educational qualification is prescribed. Only for women and those who have completed 21 Yrs of age as on 1.7.2006.
6. Certificate Courses (1 year Course) i)Kannada, ii) Nutrition & Dietetics (English Medium only), iii) Gandhi an Studies – Pass in S.S.L.C. OR Equivalent examination. .
7. Community Based Rehabilitation (Cbr) Courses A)PG. Diploma in C.B.R. – 1 Year Course Planning & Management - Graduate of Bangalore University or any other recognized University in India in any discipline (Preferably in life Sciences) or a Graduate in any discipline of Rehabilitation Sciences.
B) Diploma in C.B.R. Persons with disability (Eng. Medium) – 1 Year Course – a) Pass in 10 +2 or Equivalent examinations b) Any one pursuing any Undergraduate degree in a recognized University.
A) Certificate Course 1) Indian Portage on ECCD, 2) Inclusive Education, 3) Planning and Management of NGOs & Self-help Organization. - Those who have completed 18 Years of age as on 1st July 2006. No formal education is required. .

Postal Application : Candidates desirous of obtaining the prospectus shall send a self addressed envelope of 30 cm x 25 cm size affixing Postal stamp worth of Rs.75/- so as to reach on or before the due date with a Demand Draft of Rs.200/- drawn in favour of “Finance Officer Bangalore University, Bangalore” payable at Bangalore towards the application fee mentioning the course for which the application is required to the The Coordinator, Prasaranga Sales Unit, Central College, Palace Road, Bangalore – 560 009.

Registration By Post: (a) Candidates desirous of seeking admission by post shall send the filled in application forms along with the Photostat copies of the required documents duly attested by a Gazette Officer, to the Directorate of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education, Central College Campus, Dr. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore – 560 001, on or before 30.10.2006 indicating the course for admission on the cover, (b) The candidate pay Rs. 500/- in addition to the prescribed fee for sending the documents such as marks card, study materials etc. (c) The Candidates enrolled to M. Sc (Mathematics), Diploma and Certificate Course in Nutrition and Dietetics & BBM shall come to the Directorate for Contact classes and Practical classes for a period of about 1 month. (d) Registration by post shall not confer any right for admission automatically. Postal registration is provisional and subject to further scrutiny and verification of original documents.

Students seeking admission for II / III year B.A. / B. Com / B.B.M. (Correspondence Course / Open University Scheme) and II Year M.A. / M. Com and M. Sc (Mathematics) for the academic year 2006-07 are required to seek admission from 16.08.2006, Students may collect applications from the Prasaranga Sales Unit, Central College, Palace Road, Bangalore – 560 009 only on submission of a D.D. for Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of “Finance officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore” Payable at Bangalore. Note : Candidate seeking admission under CBR Programme may obtain the application and prospectus either in person or by post at the Directorate on submission of DD of Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of “FINANCE OFFICER Bangalore University, Bangalore” payable at Bangalore. In case of SC/ST Students, Fee reimbursement will be given as per the Government Rules. Minimum percentage of marks required shall be relaxed as per Rules.
