Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy invites applications for admission to BSMS / BAMS / BUMS / BHMS / BNYS Courses for 2010 – 2011 in Government and Self financing Colleges in Tamil Nadu from the candidates passed in Higher Secondary Courses.

Application Form and Prospectus for BSMS / BAMS / BNYS / BUMS / BHMS Courses will be available from 08 July, 2010 to 27 July, 2010 from the Principals of the following Government Colleges.

  1. The Principal, Government Siddha Medical College, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District.
  2. The Principal, Government Siddha Medical College, Chennai – 106.
  3. The Principal, Government. Unani Medical College, Chennai – 106.
  4. The Principal, Government Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College, Chennai – 106.
  5. The Principal, Government Homoeopathy Medical College, Thirumangalam, Madurai District.
  6. The Principal, Government Ayurveda Medical College, Kottar, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari District.

Application Forms and prospectus will not be issued from the following addresses :

Candidates can obtain the application either in person or by post on written requisition to the Principal of the above Government Colleges duly enclosing a Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy”, Payable at Chennai obtained from any one of the nationalized Banks on or after 01 July, 2010.

Cost of Application :

Common Application Form for BSMS / BAMS / BNYS / BUMS / BHMS : Rupee 500/- Application Form for each Special Category Rupee 100/-. If the application is required to be sent by post, ordinary postal stamp to the value of Rupee 70/- (Rupees Seventy Only) should be enclosed along with the requisition.

In case of SC / SC (A) / ST candidates, they have to produce a attested Xerox copy of the Community Certificate and attested xerox copy of +2 mark sheet along with the written requisition. Delay on the part of Postal Department will not be considered.

SC / SC (A) / ST candidates are exempted from paying the cost of application fee. They can also obtain on written requisition duly enclosing attested Xerox copies of the Community Certificate and +2 Mark Sheet in person. They can also obtain the Application Form by post duly enclosing postal stamp to the value of Rupee 70/- (Rupees Seventy Only).

Special Categories :

  1. Physically Challenged.
  2. Children of Freedom Fighters.
  3. Children of Ex – Servicemen.
  4. Eminent Sports Person.
  5. Government of India Nominee.
  6. Heirs of Registered Indian Medicine Practitioners.
  7. Candidates who has studied Siddha as a Special Subject in +2.

Candidates applying under Special Category should submit the Special Category application along with Common Application Form for each Special Category subject to the maximum of Three Special Categories.

Candidates applying under Eminent Sportsperson Category should Submit the application with necessary documents in person at the office of the Selection Committee, Chennai.

Without required documents their claim will not be considered under any circumstances.

The last date for the issue of application : 27 July, 2010 up to 3.00 P.M.

Applications received after the last date and time will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

The last date for receipt of filled in application with all enclosures to the above courses in 5.00 P.M. on 27 July, 2010.

The selection committee is not responsible for the belated receipt of applications due to postal department and courier service and the applications are will not considered on whatsoever reasons. No letter correspondence will be made in this connection.

Diploma Courses

Applications are invited for admission to 2 ½ Years Diploma in Integrated Pharmacy Course and Diploma in Nursing Therapy Course for 2010 – 2011 in the government Siddha Medical Colleges at Chennai and Palayamkottai from the candidates passed in Higher Secondary Course.

Desirous Candidates can obtain the application either in person or by post on written requisition on the principal of the above Government colleges duly enclosing a Crossed Demand Draft for Rupee 250/- ( Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) drawn in favour of “Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy”, Payable at Chennai.

If the application is required to be sent by post, ordinary postal stamp to the value of Rupee 70/- (Rupees Seventy Only) should be enclosed along with the requisition.

CPT Online Practice Test

In case of SC / SC (A) / ST candidates, they have to produce an attested Xerox copy of the Permanent Community Certificate and attested Xerox copy of +2 mark sheet along with the written requisition.

SC / SC (A) / ST Candidates, can also obtain the Application Form by post duly enclosing postal stamp to the value of Rupee 70/- (Rupees Seventy Only).

Important Dates :

  • The last Date for the issue of application : 15 September, 2010 upto 3.00 P.M.
  • The last date for receipt of filled in : 15 September, 2010 upto 5.00 P.M. application

The applications and prospectus can also be down loaded from the website : http/www.tnhealth.org and the Demand Draft to the value of Rupee 250/- should be enclosed while submitting the application by candidates other than SC / SC (A) / ST Delay on the part of postal Department will not be considered.

Applications received after the prescribed date and time will not be considered.
