Father Muller College of Nursing invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to MSc Nursing Courses for the academic session 2019.

FMCI MSc Nursing 2019 Eligibility

The Master of Nursing is a post graduate educational programme extending over a period of two academic years, leading to Degree of Master in Nursing, awarded by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Clinical Specialization :

  • Branch I – Medical Surgical Nursing
  • Branch II – Paediatric Nursing ( Child Health Nursing )
  • Branch III – Community Health Nursing
  • Branch IV – Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing ( Maternal Nursing )
  • Branch V – Psychiatric Nursing ( Mental HealthNursing )

Candidates may opt for anyone of the specialities mentioned above. However, decision of the selection committee will be final regarding the provision of the speciality opted for by candidate, based on the availability of the seats and the candidate’s clinical experience.

Candidates seeking admission to the course should :

  • Be below 45 yrs.
  • Have the qualification of B. Sc. or PB B.Sc. in Nursing of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or any other University equivalent to this and have obtained minimum of not less than 55% aggregate marks.
  • Have had one year experience in Clinical areas / College of Nursing / School of Nursing / Community Health field AFTER obtaining B. Sc. / PB B.Sc. Nursing degree registration.
  • Have registered with the Nursing Council of Karnataka or any other State.
  • The selected candidates should submit an eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
  • The candidates should submit an application to the Admission Officer in the prescribed form.
  • Should be member of TNAI ( Trained Nurses Association of India )

Application fee

  • On payment of ₹750/- by Bank Demand Draft drawn in favour of FATHER MULLER COLLEGE OF NURSING, made payable in Mangalore. Application forms can also be obtained personally at the College of Nursing Admission counter.
  • The application form should be completed by the applicant in her / his own handwriting.
  • Full name of the candidate as spelt in the SSLC Records should be given in the application form and in all other related forms and correspondence, except those with affidavit for change of name.
  • The information given in the application should be correct. False information or suppression of any factual information in the application would lead to disqualification and / or termination from the programme.
  • Application fee once paid WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
  • The candidates should posses good health and character and free from physical and mental handicap.
  • Copies of all the certificates enclosed should be attested by the gazette officer. Once submitted, the copies of the certificates will not be returned. DO NOT SUBMIT ANY ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE with the application form.
  • If certificate is in a language other than English, it has to be translated into English and attested by the Principal of the School / College, last attended.
  • For all communication please quote your correct name given on the application form and if you need a reply enclose a self addressed and stamped envelope.
  • Entrance requirements and eligibility criteria for each course are given in the Prospectus under the detailed description of each course. The candidate is expected to ascertain her / his eligibility from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science before joining the course, if she / he has obtained the qualifying examination certificate other than RGUHS.
  • Candidates should produce a copy of the Indian Nursing Council Recognition of the College of Nursing where she / he has completed the qualifying examination.
  • All the candidates fulfilling the entrance requirements will be intimated the date, time and venue of the entrance test and interview by post.

Note

Candidates called for an interview should bring with them the certificates in original and the letter calling for interview. All the certificates should bear the same name. If any change of name, it should be accompanied by an affidavit to this effect.

The duly filled in application form should reach the Admission officer together with the following certificates :

  • Attested true copy of :
    • B.Sc. ( N ) or PB B.Sc. Degree Certificate.
    • Registration Certificate from the Nursing Council.
    • Mark Lists of all semesters / academic years of B.Sc. ( N ) or PB B.Sc. ( N ).
  • Birth Certificate / SSLC Certificate ( first page of the cumulative record ),
  • Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
  • Professional Experience Certificate for ONE COMPLETE YEAR in a recognized Institution, after obtaining the B.Sc. / PB B.Sc. Nursing degree.
  • Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
  • One copy of duly attested passport size photograph fixed on the application form.
  • One self addressed envelope stamped for ₹ 40/- registered post.
  • Submit a Identification proof ( Voter ID / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License / Aadhar Card )

FMCI MSc Nursing 2019 Selection Procedure

  • Father Muller College of Nursing is an Unaided Religious Minority Institution, Hence all admissions are as per as the Religious Minority Institution Status and are governed by the Government of Karnataka / INC norms.
  • Admission of students to the course will be strictly on the basis of merit. Any recommendation, phone calls or attempts to meet the authorities in connection with the admission will be regarded as a disqualification.
  • Candidates who meet the requirements are expected to appear for an interview conducted at Father Muller College of Nursing or any other place specified by the Institution. The exact date of which will be intimated.
  • The students are selected on the basis of merit of the candidate in the qualifying examination and interview.
  • The candidates shall bear all the expenses in connection with the selection interview. They will have to make their own arrangements for accommodation during the interview.
  • Interview Admission Card and Certificates in ORIGINAL should be produced at the center before attending the interview.
  • The provisionally selected candidates will be informed by post.
  • The provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination for physical fitness. If any serious defect illness is detected, they will be declared unfit.
  • Candidates provisionally selected will be intimated about the fees payable to the Institutions.
  • Selection intimation letters are to be surrendered to the college office at the time of paying fees.
  • Admission secured on the basis of false information supplied, shall stand cancelled and the fees forfeited.
  • All communications from the College will be addressed to the mailing address given in the application form, if a self addressed stamped envelope is enclosed.
  • Selection notification will announce the date of commencement of classes. Candidates remaining absent for three consecutive days without prior permission shall forfeit their admission as well as fees. The selected candidates should confirm the willingness for admission within the date mentioned in the selection notification.
  • Admission granted is provisional subject to :
    • The payment of all the fees payable to the Institutions.
    • Submission of eligibility certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University and admission approval from the University for all the students The Management is not responsible if any candidate is declared ineligible for the course by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
    • Submission of all certificates and testimonials in original as per requirement.
    • Medical examination clearance.
    • No certificates will be issued until ‘No Dues’ are cleared.

Father Muller College of Nursing invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to BSc Nursing & Postbasic BSc Nursing Courses for the academic year 2019.

FMCI BSc Nursing & PBBSc Nursing Eligibility 2019

BSc Nursing :

  • The candidates should have completed 17 years on or before 1st August, 2018. They should be between 17 – 25 years of age and unmarried.
  • Minimum educational qualification is a pass in the Pre – University examination of Karnataka Board of Education or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology securing 50% of marks & English as optional subject. If belonging to a scheduled caste or a scheduled tribe, should have obtained 40% in PCB subjects of the Qualifying examination.
  • Candidates awaiting II PUC / PDC results are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two attempts.
  • The selected candidates should obtain an Eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Post Basic BSc Nursing :

  • The Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree programme consists of two academic years. Only registered Staff Nurses after a diploma programme in nursing from INC recognized School of Nursing are admitted to this course.
  • Candidates applying for admission should have passed the Pre University or Higher Secondary or any other examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University for the purpose with science, Arts or Commerce subjects.
  • Have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered with theState Nurses Registration Council.
  • The selected candidates should submit an eligibility certificate ( Non Karnataka) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
  • Should be a member of TNAI ( Trained Nurses Association of India ).

Important : Ministry of AYUSH, in their letter dated 12th February, 2018 has notified that, for admission to Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, and Homoeopathy courses, candidates must compulsorily qualify in the NEET – 2018 ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) exam conducted by the CBSE board, New Delhi on 6th May, 2018. FMCI Admission Eligibility 2018

  • A candidate seeking admission should attain 17 years of age on December and obtained 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology together at the P.U.C. examination of the Karnataka Board or other equivalent examinations, such as XII Std. in the 10+2 system.
  • A candidate awaiting II P.U.C. results is also eligible to apply. But he / she does not qualify for admission unless he / she obtains more than 40% aggregate in II year P.U.C. in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In case of students belonging to SC / ST and Category – I, the minimum requirement in percentage of marks shall not be less than 35% for admission to I BHMS Course.

FMCI Admission Selection Procedure 2018

  • Selection and FMCI BHMS Admission to all courses will be provisional and is subject to the norms / provisions made applicable by the Government of Karnataka.
  • The candidates who meet the above requirements are required to appear for entrance test / counseling conducted on June in Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte – 575 018. The candidates have to report to the college office by 8.30 AM. However, meritorious candidates will be admitted directly.
