GBU Noida Admission Eligibility 2019

BE/B.Tech

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 50% marks for General candidates and 45% marks for candidates belong to SC/ST category
  • Candidate must pass separately in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 40% marks

B.Arch

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 50% marks and 45% marks (for candidates belong to SC/ST category).
  • Candidate must pass separately in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 40% marks along with NATA score securing minimum 40% marks.

B.Sc (Physical Sciences)

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board of education minimum 50% marks in case of general candidates and 45% marks in case of candidates who belong to SC/ST category.

B.A.L.L.B.

  • Candidates must pass 10+2 in any stream from with not less than 45% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates).

ME / MTech

Power System Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Power Electronics and Drive

  • Candidate must possess B.Tech. degree in EE/EEE/EC Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 60% marks for general candidates and 55% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category candidates.

Food Processing and Technology

  • Candidate must possess B.Tech. degree in food processing technology/ food engineering/ dairy engineering/ agriculture engineering/ biotechnology/ biochemical engineering with minimum 50% marks for general candidates and 45% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category candidates.

Software Engineering, Intelligent System and Robotics, Wireless Communication and Networks, VLSI Design

  • Candidate must possess BE/B.Tech. degree in computer science/ computer technology/ information technology/ electronics and communication or MCA with minimum 50% marks and 45% marks (for candidates who belong to SC/ST category candidates).

Computer Science

  • Candidate must possess BE/B.Tech degree in computer science/ computer technology/ information technology/ electronics and communication or  M.Sc. in Computer Science or MCA from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 50% marks for General category candidates and 45% marks for candidates belong to SC/ST category candidates.

Embedded System

  • Candidate must possess BE/B.Tech degree in electronics science/ electronics and communication/ information technology or M.Sc. in Electronics from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 50% marks and 45% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category candidates.

Biotechnology

  • Candidate must have B.Tech. degree in Biotechnology or any other area of Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Life Science with minimum 50% marks for general candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.

MBA

  • Candidate must possess graduation degree from any recognized university with minimum 50% marks for general candidates and 45% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category.

M.Sc (Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Environmental Science, Food Science)

  • Candidate must possess graduation degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 50% marks for general candidates and 45% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category.

MA ( Buddhist Studies and Civilization, Education, History and Civilization, Economics, Planning and Development, English, Hindi, Urdu, Mass Communication, Sociology, Political Science and International Relations )

  • Candidate must be graduate in any discipline from any recognized University in India minimum 45% marks for general candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates

M.Phil. (Buddhist Studies)

  • Candidates must possess MA degree with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category) from any recognized university.
  • Preference will be given to Post-graduate students of Buddhist Studies, History, Pali, Sanskrit and Philosophy.

M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology)

  • Candidates must have Postgraduate degree in Psychology from with minimum 55% marks for general candidates and 50% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category from a recognized university in India.

Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering) & Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering)

  • Candidate must possess M.Tech./ME degree in relevant discipline from any recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category).

Ph.D. (Business Management)

  • Candidate must possess masters degree in management in relevant discipline from a recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category).

Ph.D. (Applied Chemistry)

  • Candidate must possess Master’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for SC/ST category candidates).

Ph.D. (Applied Physics)

  • Candidate must possess Master’s degree in Physics from a recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category).

Ph.D. (Applied Mathematics)

  • Candidate must possess Master’s degree in Mathematics from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks and 50% marks (for candidates belong to SC/ST category)

Ph.D. (Biotechnology)

  • Candidate must possess Master’s degree in any discipline of Life Sciences from a recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category).
  • For Working Professionals, apart from the academic eligibility, two years research/teaching experience in any National Institute of Higher Learning/ Universities/ Central Laboratory or equivalent experience is required.
  • Working Professionals are also required to produce a  letter of consent from the current employer for providing sufficient facilities and time for conducting the research work at the time of interview.

Ph.D. (Architecture and Planning)

  • Candidate must possess M.Tech./ME degree in civil engineering/ chemical/ environmental/ biotechnology in relevant area from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks and 50% marks (for candidates belong to SC/ST category)

Doctor of Philosophy in Law

  • Candidate must possess LLM degree from a recognized university in India with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category)

GBU Noida Admission Application Form 2019

  • Online submission : GBU Noida Admission 2018 On-line application form and admission brochure is available on the official website : www.gbu.ac.in.
  • The application fee is [rupee] 1200/- for General candidates and [rupee] 600/- for SC/ST category candidates.

GBU Noida Admission Selection Procedure 2019

BE/B.Tech , ME/M.Tech & B.Arch

  • The university conducts GPTU or General Proficiency Test for Undergraduates for admission to B.Tech. program. The entrance test will have three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. While Chemistry and Physics section will have 30% weightage each, Mathematics will have 40% weightage.
  • For admission to M.Tech. and M.Plan. courses, the university conducts GPT or General Proficiency Test for Postgraduates. GPT has three sections – Subject Awareness, English Proficiency, and General Knowledge. Subject Awarness has the most weightage, i.e. 70%. The rest two sections carry 15% weightage each. Subject Awareness section will have questions from the specialization to which a candidate has applied.
  • The entrance exam for M.Tech. Biotechnology will have four sections- Advanced Biology, Chemistry, English Proficiency, and General Awareness. Advanced Biology will have 50% weightage, Chemistry will have 20% weightage, and English Proficiency and General Awareness will have 15% weighatge each.
  • Admission to B.Arch. will be done on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in NATA Exam. Candidates applying for B.Arch. at Gautam Buddha University will have to send a photocopy of their NATA score along with the application form to the University.

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Physical Sciences)

  • GBU grants admission to B.Sc., and B.Voc. in Food Processing course on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination and availability of seats.
  • For admission to BA LLB program, GBU conducts a written examination. The test will be of 2 hours duration and will be objective in nature. The test will have four sections – English, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and Analytical Ability, and General Knowledge. Each section will carry 25% weightage.

MA, MSc, MBA

  • The admission to majority of MA and M.Sc. courses is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. In case of Master in Disability Rehabilitation and Administration, GBU conducts a written examination followed by Interview and Group Discussion. The written examination will have questions about Disability and Rehabilitation management, and logic and reasoning. The weightage for Interview and Group Discussion is 25% each.
  • For admission to MBA courses, the university conducts a written test. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in the written test are then called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal interview (PI). The written test will have 4 sections – Reasoning and Aptitude, Mathematical Ability and Data Interpretation, English proficiency, and General Awareness. The weightage for Reasoning and Mathematical ability section is 30% each and English Proficiency and General Awareness is 20% each.

Ph.D. (Business Management) , Ph.D. (Biotechnology) & Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering)

  • For admission to M.Phil. in Buddhist Studies and Civilization, the University conducts an interview and gives weightage to academic performance of the candidate.
  • For M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology, the University conducts a written test which is followed by personal interview. The entrance test will have three sections  – Subject Awareness, English proficiency, and General Knowledge. Subject Awareness will have maximum weightage that of 70%. Rest of the two sections will carry 15% weightage each
