Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla invites admission application for eligible candidates to the following courses against Subsidised / Non – Subsidised seats for the academic year 2013 – 2014 :

• M.A./ M.Sc : Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

• M.A : English, Physical Education, Social Work

• LL.B : Bachelor of Law ( HPU PG Centre at Shimla )

• MMC : Master of Mass Communication

• PGHRD : PG Diploma in Human Resource Development

• PGDMC : PG Diploma in Mass Communication

• M.Ed : Master of Education

• MTA : Master of Tourism Administration

• FYICTA : Five Years Integrated Course – Master in Tourism Administration

• BHM : Bachelor in Hotel Management

HPU Shimla Admission Procedure 2013 :

• The admission to these courses shall be made on the merit of entrance tests and past academic record wherever applicable.

• All the seats for Diploma in HRD are under Non-Subsidised scheme.

• The candidates who have passed or have appeared in the qualifying examinations are eligible for admission to above courses and can apply for appearing in the entrance examination.

• However, their admission in the concerned Department / Institute will be subject to their securing the prescribed percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations and submission of all documents including final marks sheet of the qualifying examinations latest by the date of interview / admission.

HPU Shimla Admission Application Form 2013 :

• The prospectus for admission in 2 years Master of Tourism Administration ( after graduation ), three years Bachelor in Hotel Management and Five Years Integrated Course in Tourism Administration ( both after + 2 ) will be available at the Office of Institute of Vocational Studies up to 18th May, 2013 on payment of 200/- on counter and 250/- by post through IPO / Bank draft in favour of the “Director, Institute of Vocational Studies, H.P. University Shimla – 171 005″.

• The filled up application form should reach on or before the last date 18th May, 2013 along with application form fee in the shape of demand draft as applicable to the respective course, in favour of “Director, IVS ( Tourism )”.

• Duly filled HPU Shimla admission application form post by send to the following address :

  Shimla – 171 005.

• The HBI / prospectus for the courses ( M.Sc / M.A.) Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistic / M.A. ( English, Physical Education and Social Work ) / LLB (3 years) / MMC / PGHRD / PGDMC / M.Ed will be available in the office of the Dean of Studies, H.P. University, Shimla – 5 from 04th April, 2013 to 02nd May, 2013 on working days / hours 160/‐ on counter and 200/- by post from 04th April, 2013 to 28th April, 2013.

• The bank draft / IPOs should be in favour of Finance Officer, H.P. University Shimla – 171 005 along with request for supply of HBI by post be sent to the office of the Dean of Studies, H.P. University, Shimla – 171 005.

• HPU Shimla admission application forms complete in all respects must reach to Chairpersons / Directors of the concerned Teaching department / institute in which the candidate has to seek admission latest by 02nd May, 2013.
