MEC Villupuram Admission Eligibility 2019

BE / B.Tech

Candidates with H.Sc. (Academic Stream) and other equivalent examinations.

• A Pass in 10, +2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together 40% aggregate for MBC/DNC and SC/ST Communities, 45% for BC and 50% for OC

Candidates with H.Sc. (Vocational Stream) and other equivalent examinations.

• A pass with minimum average marks in any one of the related subjects, vocational Theory and Practicals put together 40% aggregate for MBC/DNC and SC/ST Communities, 45% for BC and 50% for OC.

Diploma / B.Sc. Candidates (Lateral Entry)

• A pass in Diploma Examination with over all percentage of marks obtained by the candidate from First Semester to Sixth Semester put together 40% aggregate for SC/ST Communities, 45% for MBC, 50% for BC and 55% for OC.

ME

• A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

M.E. Engineering Design 

• B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in Mechanical /Production / Automobile / Mechatronics / Manufacturing / Industrial / Marine / Aeronautical M.E. Computer Science & Engineering B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in ECE / CSE / IT / Software Engineering / Computer & Communication Engineering / Electronics Engineering M.E. Power Electronics & Drives B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in EEE

M.E. Communication Systems

• B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in ECE / Electronics Engineering

M.B.A. Master of Business Administration 

• A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration ( 10, +2, +3 ) and obtained atleast 50% ( 45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) in the qualifying degree examinations.

M.C.A. Master of Computer Applications

• A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (10, +2, +3, ) with Mathematics at 10, +2 level or at Graduate level and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

MCA (Lateral Entry)

• A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with 10 + 2 + 3 years pattern in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to
  reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

Application fee

• Candidates have to pay the application fee of ₹500/- ( ₹250/- for SC / SCA / ST candidates ) towards the entrance test fee for any one of the programmes either M.B.A. M.C.A. M.E / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. degree programme.
