Management Development Institute of Singapore invites application for admission to the following Programs :

1. M.Sc. in Healthcare Management Program ( Validated and Awarded by the University of Wales, UK )

Duration : 8 modules and a dissertation.

Day Program :

    • The entire MSc Program may be completed over a 12 – month period with four modules per term for two terms and one module for the third term.

Evening Program :

  • MSc Program may be completed over a 20 – month period with two modules per term for four terms and one module for the fifth term.

MSc Entry Requirements :

  1. Interested applicants must possess the following Entry Requirements :
    1. A recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    2. Demonstrated proficiency in English ( EL1 ) equivalent to at least C6 pass at GCE ‘O’ Levels.
  2. Applicants who do not meet the English Language requirement are required to :
    1. Achieve a minimum of band 6.5 and above in IELTS ( International English Language Testing System ) conducted by The British Council. ( or )
    2. Score 240 points ( computer – based ) or 570 ( paper – based ) in TOEFL ( Test of English as a Foreign Language ) conducted by the United States Education and Information Centre.
  3. Other equivalent qualification may be considered on a case by case basis.

MSc Program Commencment :

  • Evening Program : 1st Intake : February 2011.
  • Day Program : 1st Intake : June 2011.

2. BSc ( Hons ) in Pharmaceutical Management Program & BSc ( Hons ) in Biomedical Sciences Program

Biomedical Sciences Specialisations : Medical Biochemistry, Medical Cell Biology and Cancer Biology. ( Awarded by the University of Bradford, UK ).

Duration :

Evening Program ( for Local students only )

  • 32 modules and 1 dissertation.
  • Taught over 10 terms.
  • Each term covering 3 to 4 modules.
  • Minimum 3.5 Years.

Day Program ( for Local and International students only )

  • 32 modules and 1 dissertation.
  • Taught over 9 terms.
  • Each term covering 3 to 4 modules.
  • Minimum 3 Years.

BSc ( Hons ) Entry Requirements :

  1. Applicants seeking entry into BSc ( Hons ) Program must possess one or more of the following qualifications or recognised international equivalents :
    1. Foundation Certificate in Biomedical Sciences ( FCBS ).
    2. GCE ‘A’ Levels, preferably in science stream subjects ( Grades CCD ).
    3. Mature applicants who possess relevant management or pharmaceutical experience will be considered on a case – by – case basis.
  2. Advanced Standing and subject exemptions may be awarded for applicants holding a :
    1. Diploma in Biotechnology, Medical Technology or Biomedical Sciences
    2. Diploma / Degree in Chemical Process Technology / Chemical Engineering / Chemistry
    3. Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Nursing
    4. Diploma in Applied Food Technology
    5. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Marketing / Management
    6. Certificate of Higher Education in Biomedical Sciences
  3. Students without the FCBS or GCE ‘A’ Levels in science subjects ( or their equivalent ) will need to attend additional science tutorials, at a nominal charge. Those who do not fit the above entry criteria are nevertheless encouraged to submit their academic transcripts for consideration. Non – diploma and non – FCBS graduates embarking upon BSc ( Hons ) Program may be required to undertake an additional module in Communication Skills within their first year.
  4. Other equivalent qualification may be considered on a case by case basis.

BSc ( Hons ) Program Commencement :

  • Evening Program : April 2011 and November 2011.
