NITIE Mumbai Fellow Programme Admission 2016 :
The programme aims to admit individuals with sound academic background, strong motivation and potential to become excellent researchers at national and international level.
Areas : Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Systems, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Engineering Technology and Project Management, Decision Science and Information Technology, Environmental Engineering and Management, Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance & Accounts, Economics & Strategy.
NITIE Mumbai Fellow Programme Eligibility 2016 :
Masters degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology, Management, Economics, Commerce, Social Science, Life sciences and Pure Sciences with 60% aggregate marks ( relaxable by 5% in case of SC / ST / PwD (Person with Disability) candidates ) from recognized University / Institution, CA / ICWA and ACS. Those appearing for their final examination in the respective disciplines can also apply. Project / Work experience in these areas would be preferred. As per Govt, of India rules, reservation of seats exists for SC / ST / OBC – NC ( Non – Creamy ) and PwD candidates.
Sponsored Candidates :
Candidates from Industry / Academia with above eligibility and a minimum of two years experience may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, have to stay in the campus for one year for credit requirements. No financial assistance is available for such candidates. They need to produce sponsorship certificate from the employer. Also, they should fill-in the Sponsorship Form available on the NITIE website.
NITIE Mumbai Fellow Programme Selection 2016 :
All candidates are required to appear in a written test conducted by NITIE. Candidates are selected based on written test, past academic achievements, research presentation and personal interview.
Financial Assistance :
Provided only to the regular candidates for four years as per MHRD guidelines. To be eligible for financial assistance the candidate should have a Valid Score of GATE / CAT / NET – JRF at the time of application.
NITIE Mumbai Fellow Programme Application Form 2016 :
Fellow candidates are required to submit hard copy of application form ( filled online ), research proposal ( max 1500 words ) and relevant documents by 4th April 2016 at NITIE, Mumbai through speed post. Applicants are also required to bring the application form and relevant documents (original and one Xerox set) at the time of interview.

Application Fee : Application Fee is Rs.1000/- ( Rs.500/- in case of SC / ST / PwD candidates ), plus bank charges as applicable. Online payment option is available.

NITIE PGDIE, PGDMM, PGDPM Programme Admission 2016 :
1. Post Graduate Diploma In Industrial Engineering ( PGDIE ) 46th Batch (2016 – 2018)
PGDIE aims at developing professionals with cross functional skills. NITIE for over four decades has been systematically training PGDIE students in providing solutions to the complex industrial and business problems. Including core courses, the programme covers subjects from areas like Operations and Supply Chain Management, Operations Research and Quantitative Techniques, Ergonomics, Strategic Management, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, Environmental Management, HR & OB and Marketing.
2. Post Graduate Diploma In Manufacturing Management ( PGDMM ) 3“ Batch (2016 – 2018 ) :
PGDMM aims to develop professionals capable of designing and redesigning the most effective manufacturing system as per business needs. This programme has been designed in line with the manufacturing policy of India. This covers subjects from areas like Manufacturing and Design, Manufacturing and Operations Management, Integrated Manufacturing and specialized courses like Ergonomics of Manufacturing, Production Planning and Control, Facilities Planning, Work System Design and Quality Engineering & Control.
3. Post Graduate Diploma In Project Management ( PGDPM ) 3rd Batch ( 2016 – 2018 )
PGDPM develops Project Managers responsible for the cost effective, timely and safe delivery of a broad range of projects in industry. Apart from core courses, the programme covers subjects from areas like Project Initiation and Planning, Project Execution and Special Project Management courses. This also offers specialized courses like Project Appraisal and Feasibility Analysis, Project Planning and Control, Project Cost Estimation, Project Execution Management and Plant Design & Layout.
NITIE PGDIE, PGDMM, PGDPM Programme Eligibility & selection 2016 :
Indian students :
For all the above Programmes, applicant should be GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) qualified [ 2015 / 2016 ] with 60% aggregate marks ( relaxable by 5% in case of SC / ST / PwD ( Person with Disability ) candidates) at graduation in Engineering / technology. For PGDIE, applicant with any branch in Engineering / Technology can apply. For PGDPM and PGDMM, candidates with following engineering disciplines can only apply – mechanical, production, automobile, chemical, civil, textile, electrical, electronics and other relevant branches such as industrial engineering, instrumentation and industrial electronics. However, applicants with Civil Engineering background will not be considered for PGDMM.
Final year Engineering / Technology students can also apply, provided they qualify the above criteria for exams appeared till date. Students appearing for final year exams in 2016 will be permitted to submit their result by September 30,2016. Their admission will stand cancelled in case they fail to meet the qualifying requirements.
As per Govt. of India rules, reservation of seats exists for SC / ST / OBC – NC ( Non – Creamy ) and PwD candidates.
SC / ST candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt, of India vide letters No.11016/19/2005-SCD-1 dated 21.06.2007 and No. 19012/36/-5- Education dated 27.06.2007 subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of terms and conditions mentioned therein.
Sponsored Seats :
Few seats in PGDIE, PGDMM and PGDPM are available for Sponsored Candidates. Sponsored Candidates must be from reputed Industrial Organizations / Academic Institutions. The Candidates must have aggregate 60% marks in Engineering / Technology with two years of full time work experience as on June 15, 2016. GATE score is not required for sponsored candidates. However, they are required to attend a written test to be conducted at the institute. Sponsored candidates should also fill in the Sponsorship Form available on the NITIE website. No teaching assistantship is granted to Sponsored candidates.
International students :
15% of the approved intake ( in supernumerary quota ) will be reserved for international students in the above PG programmes offered by NITIE. Entry level qualification shall be at par with that of Indian students as specified above. Admission cut-off will be based on valid GRE scores. Students from non – English speaking countries should have a valid IELTS / TOEFL score if applicable.
PGDIE, PGDMM, PGDPM Programme Admission Process 2016 :
Admission is based on Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) with appropriate weightage to GATE / GRE score (as applicable), academic performance and relevant experience of reputed Industrial Organization / Academic Institution. All the shortlisted candidates will be called for GD and PI at NITIE, Mumbai. International students should attend the interview along with Indian students; if not feasible, there is an option for interview through video conferencing.
Teaching Assistantship :
Only GATE qualifiers will get Teaching Assistantship (at present @ Rs. 12400/- per month) and contingency expenditure as per rules.

PGDIM, PGDISEM Programme Admission 2016 :
National Institute of Industrial Engineering commonly known as NITIE, Mumbai will be inviting applications from eligible candidates for admissions into Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management ( PGDIM ) and Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety & Environment Management (PGDISEM) for upcoming academic year 2016.
PGDIM, PGDISEM Programme Eligibility Criteria 2016 :
The applicants must be graduates in any branch of technology or engineering with at least of 60% marks in total for General category candidates and 55% for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories.
PGDIM, PGDISEM Programme Selection Process 2016 :
Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores obtained in CAT 2015. The shortlisted applicants will be invited for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round conducted by the board. Final selection of candidates will made on the basis of work experience, CAT score, and academic records along with Group Discussion and Personal Interview performances.
PGDIM, PGDISEM Programme Application Form 2016 :
Candidates can apply online by visiting t he official website of authority. They will need to apply individually for the two courses. The NITIE application fee will be Rs. 1000. The payment of application fee can make with any branch of SBI bank via online gateway “I – Collect” for SBI net banking account holders or with the required Challan downloadable from the page of payment details along with the essential transaction charges. Once CAT results 2016 are out, the applicants have to fill in the CAT marks online via admissions portal within ten days of announcement of CAT result.
