Distance Education Program of PTU aims to increase the Access, Reach, Equity and Affordability of Higher professional education to disadvantaged men and women who cannot pursue their life long ambitions due to various constraints. As a Public University, established by the state, it is our responsibility to provide knowledge and skills to students, which can make them employable in the global work environment.
PTU distance education has innovative features such as adequately well equipped centers, Latest technical syllabi, compulsory communication skills paper, provision of lateral entry, degrees recognized for government jobs and abroad, contact classes of minimum 240 hours in semester, Learning materials in SIM format free of cost, convocations, annual fest, counseling, job fest and many more activities. To apply for opening a learning centre request may be submitted to university in the prescribed application form available on the PTU website: www.ptu.ac.in. Limited applications will be considered only at locations where no learning centers exist. Interested institutions may consult our state Coordinators office before submitting the application. University reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
