Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management invites application from eligible candidates for admission to two year Post Graduate Programme in Management ( PGP ) for the session 2018 – 20.

RGIIM Shillong 2018 PGP Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [ 45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste ( SC ), Scheduled Tribe ( ST ) and Differently Abled ( DA ) ( It may also referred to as Persons with Disability ( PWD ) category ) ], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

RGIIM Shillong PGP Admission Process 2018

  • The entire process of shortlisting and selection of candidates at IIM Shillong for its Post Graduate Program is independent of all other IIMs.
  • Performance in CAT and consistently well academic record are important criteria for short – listing of candidates to the second stage of admission process. Candidates should note that it is important to perform well relative to other candidates at each stage of the process.
  • A candidature would automatically stand cancelled, if at any point of the admission process, the candidate does not respond and adhere to the requirements of the process.
  • IIM Shillong would protect the privacy of all the individual candidates and confidentiality of the process to prevent abuse. Based on these considerations, the performance details of an individual are not made available to any other person. To ensure that the perceived lack of transparency does not in any way affect the candidates negatively, adequate care is taken in formation of panel, development of objective criteria for assessment, random allocation of candidates to a panel, establishing scientific reliability of the process and other such measures.
  • Candidates appearing in PI, will be able to check their status regarding admission offer by IIMS Shillong by the last week of April, 2018 by visiting the institute’s website. The same information, along with offer document, will be sent over to the candidate’s registered e-mail. Such Candidates, who are offered admission, will need to confirm their acceptance by completing all the required formalities within the stipulated time frame. Failing to do so will forfeit their candidature and the offer will be made to candidates on wait-list. Wait list candidates may be required to respond to admission offer, if made at a short notice.
  • The Institute reserves the right to revoke the offer of admission to any candidate not fulfilling the offer – acceptance requirements as per specifications.
  • The Institute commits itself to respond to each and every query of the candidates, whether shortlisted ( in first phase ), selected ( in second phase ), or otherwise. However only unambiguous and relevant queries will be entertained. Any attempt by a candidate or by anyone on his / her behalf to influence the admission process at any stage will result in summarily termination of his / her candidature.

  • The RGIIM admission application form needs to be filled in and must be e-mailed to admissions@iimshillong.in as an attachment.
  • Thereafter, the applicant has to take a print of the filled in application form, put his / her signature on the proper place, and send it to following address along with the necessary enclosures.

RGIIM Shillong Admission Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • The program is designed for working executives from reputed organizations operating out of emerging economies. All the applicants must have at least a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized University, work experience of managerial / supervisory roles ( 05 years and above is desirable ) and with CAT ( percentile of the test taken in either of the years 2015 and 2016 ) and / GMAT ( scores for the past three years ).
  • Appropriate relaxations may be granted for candidates with strong managerial / supervisory role experience. Call for attending the Executive Assessment Center ( EAC ) would be based on the overall application rating done by the Admissions Committee.

Application Fee

The candidates applying as Indian Nationals need to pay non-refundable Application Fee of [rupee] 3,000 ( Rupees Three Thousand Only ), while applying for admission into PGPEx 2018 – 19 batch. The candidates applying as Other Nationals ( other than Indian National ) need to pay non-refundable Application Fee of USD 250, while applying for admission into PGPEx 2018 – 19 batch.

RGIIM Shillong 2018 Admission Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have

  • A Masters’ degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General Candidates, 55% ( Engineering students ) or 50% ( non-engineering students ) aggregate marks for SC / ST Candidates or equivalent grade point average.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 60% marks for General Candidates. 55% ( Engineering students ) or 50% ( non-engineering students ) aggregate marks for SC / ST Candidates or equivalent grade point average.
  • Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General Candidates. 50% aggregate marks for SC / ST Candidates.
  • Any professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA / ICAI and CS with a minimum 55% aggregate marks.

The above qualification should be from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956; or, recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying programmes that would make them eligible can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by 30th June, 2017 from the Principal / Head of the Department / Registrar or Director of the University / Institute ( issued on or before 30th June, 2017 ) stating that they have appeared for the examinations ( including practical examinations ) in all the subjects required for obtaining the Master’s / Bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the Master’s / Bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by Principal / Registrar of their college / Institute. The deadline for submission of mark sheet and the Certificate is 31st December, 2017. Please note that those candidates who have applied on the basis of their master’s degree will have to meet the required marks stipulation, and those who have applied on the basis of their bachelor’s degree will have to meet the required marks stipulation. Non-fulfillment of these conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

RGIIM Shillong 2018 Selection Procedure

  • Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria stated above and who cleared the Common Admission Test ( CAT ) held by the IIMs in either 2016 or 2017.
  • Alternatively, those who have valid GATE, GRE, GMAT and JRF ( UGC / CSIR ) examinations till 26th February 2018 can also apply in the relevant area of specialization. Candidates who have already obtained a two-year PGDM from any of the IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale are exempted from this requirement, and can apply directly through the prescribed Application Form. Such applicants are also eligible to get a waiver of the first year course work and can directly join the second year of the programme.
  • Short-listed candidates on the basis of their academic record and performance in the competitive examinations mentioned above will be called to Shillong for a personal interview for final selection in March 2018 and the successful candidates will receive offers by April 2018.
  • Admission to the programme is open to overseas candidates including NRIs and foreign nationals. Their admission will be based on GMAT / GRE scores which are valid till 26th February 2018.

Instructions for filling up the Application Form

  • Download and Save the Online Form in your Desktop / Laptop.
  • Open the Form using Adobe Acrobat 9 and above.
  • Fill in the Details in the form as required
  • Ignore any Submit button in the form.
  • Provide your First name initial and surname only in the Signature section.[ Eg: A.Kumar ]
  • Click on File — Save As —  or Use Press the Save As Button ( Save the file with your Name )
  • Send the File as an attachment to fpm@iimshillong.ac.in

The candidates are requested to be careful while filling in the form and to check the same before submitting it. In case any candidate submits the form more than once, the first such submission will only be considered.

2.The candidates should take a print of the online form before submitting the same. If the candidate is applying for two areas, two copies must be printed. The printed copy ( ies ) of the online application form, one for each area, with a recent photograph pasted and with all supporting documents (including self-attested copies of mark sheet and certificates of all public examinations starting from 10th, experience certificate, relevant score card, age proof, etc.) attached separately with each form which may be sent together in one envelop. Completed application forms along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- ( application fee is not applicable to SC / ST candidates ) drawn in favor of RGIIM, Shillong payable at Shillong should be sent to the following address.
