University of Mumbai Admission 2019 Eligibility

F. Y. B.A

  • 10+2 ( H.S.C. ) from Maharashtra State Board Or equivalent Exam from other state, with English as compulsory subject OR 3 years Diploma from MSBTE OR other boards recognized as equivalent.

S. Y.B. A

  • Passed / ATKT in F.Y.B.A

T. Y. B. A

  • Passed in F.Y.B.A. and S.Y.B.A. or with ATKT in either FY or SY.

F.Y.B.Com

  • A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year course leading to the Bachelor of Commerce must have examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

S. Y. B.Com

  • Passed / in F.Y.B.Com or ATKT 0r ( BBI / BFM students will get admission subject to condition that such student has to clear FC Paper – I ATKT at F.Y.B.Com level. )

T. Y. B.Com

  • Passed in F.Y.B.Com and S.Y.B.Com or with ATKT in either FY or SY.

F.Y.B.Sc. ( IT )

  • HSC ( XII ) with Mathematics & Statistics with minimum 45% marks ( Minimum 40% for reserved category ) and equivalent.

S.Y.B.Sc ( I.T. )

  • Passed in F.Y.B. Sc IT or ATKT in OR Passed three years diploma from any recognized state and central board students should have passed in all subjects of F.Y.B.Sc. ( IT ) and failed not more 200 marks from University of Mumbai No. UG / 235 of 2005.

T.Y.B.Sc. ( I. T. )

  • Passed in all subjects of F. Y. & S.Y. B. Sc. ( IT ) or equivalent examination of other universities. Students should have passed in all subjects of FY B. Sc ( IT ) and failed not more than 200 marks in SY B.Sc ( IT ) from University of Mumbai. No. UG / 235 of 2005.

F.Y.B.Sc. ( Computer Science )

  • Passed in HSC ( XII ) Science with Mathematics or equivalent.

S.Y.B.Sc. ( Computer Science )

  • Passed in F.Y.B.Sc ( Comp. Sc. ) in all subjects or equivalent exams of other university
  • Students failing not more than 200 marks of F.Y.B.Sc ( Comp. Sc. ) examination
  • Students should have passed 3 years diploma from any recognised states / central boards will be eligible.

T.Y.B.Sc. ( Computer Science )

  • Students should have passed in all subjects of F. Y. & S.Y. B. Sc. ( Comp. Sc. ) or equivalent examination of other universities.
  • Students should have passed in all subjects of FY B. Sc ( Comp. Sc. ) and failed not more than 200 marks in SYB. Sc ( Comp. Sc. ) from University of Mumbai.

M.A. Part I

  • Any Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a Statutory University.

M.A. Part II

  • Passed in M.A. Part I on or before the commencement of M.A. Part Exam.
  • Students will not be permitted to appear for M.A. Part II examination unless he / she has passed the Part I examination, previously.

M.A. Part-I ( Education )

  • Must have passed the B.Ed. / B.A. with Education as one of the elective paper form this University OR any other statutory University ( whereas students who have passed B.P.Ed., B.Ed. ( Physical ), B.Ed. ( Spl. ( Edu. ) etc. are not eligible for admission.

M.A. Part- II ( Education )

  • Passed in M.A. ( Edu. ) Part I ( on or before the commencement of M.A. Part – II Exam. )
  • Students will not be permitted to appear for M.A. ( Edu. ) Part II examination unless he / she has passed the Part I examination, previously.

M.Com Part-I

  • B.Com / BMS / BBI / BAF Degree & ( BMM only for Management specialization )

M.Com Part-II

  • Passed in M.Com. Part I ( on or before the commencement of M.Com Part Exam ) Students will not be permitted to appear for M.Com. Part – II examination unless he / she has passed the Part I examination, previously.

MA / M.Sc. Part-I ( Mathematics )

  • Passed T.Y.B.A. / B.Sc. with mathematics as a major subject.

MA / M.Sc. Part-II ( Mathematics )

  • Passed in M.Sc. Part I ( on or before the commencement of M.Sc Part –II Exam ).
  • Students will not be permitted to appear for M.Sc. Part II examination unless he / she has passed the Part I examination, previously.

M.Sc. ( I.T. ) Part I

  • B. Sc. with IT. / Comp. Sc. / Maths / Physics / Statistics / Electronics or BCS or B.E. with minimum 45% marks for open and 40% for reserved category.

M.Sc. ( I.T. ) Part II

  • Passed in M.Sc. ( IT ) Part I ( on or before the commencement of M.Sc ( IT ) Part –II Exam ).
  • Students will not be permitted to appear for M.Sc. ( IT ) Part – II examination unless he / she has passed the Part -I examination, previously.

M.Sc. Part I ( Computer Science )

  • Passed in B Sc. with Statistics or Physics or Mathematics or B.Sc. Comp. Sc. or B Sc. IT & BCS or BE in any branch.

M.Sc. Part II ( Computer Science )

  • Passed in M.Sc. Part I ( on or before the commencement of M.Sc ( Comp.Sc ) Part –II Exam )
  • Students will not be permitted to appear for M.Sc. ( Comp. Sc ) Part II examination unless he / she has passed the M.Sc. ( Comp. Sc ) Part I examination, previously.

M.C.A. ( First Year )

  • Graduate in any faculty with minimum 45% marks ( 40% for reserved category ) and Mathematics at XII or higher level.
  • Admission through Entrance Test.

PGDFM

  • A Candidate for being eligible for admission to the diploma course in Financial Management
  • Must hold a University degree in any faculty And
  • Must be residing within India Defence Service Personnel may be admitted to the course even if they are not degree holders.

PGDORM

  • A Candidate for being eligible for admission to the Diploma Course in Operations Research for Management-
  • Must hold a University degree in any Faculty with two year’s working experience in any organization
  • Must have recognized professional qualification and at least five year’s professional experience
  • Must be residing within India

PGDFM Part – II

  • Eligibility for the Course : Student must have passed at least one paper of First Year PGDFM Programmes.

PGDORM Part – II

  • Eligibility for the Course : Student must have passed at least e paper of First Year PGDORM Programmes.

How to apply

  • University of Mumbai application form will be available at the website mu.ac.in.
  • Mumbai University application form 2019 will be made available in the last week of May, 2019.
  • The candidates have to fill the pre-enrollment admission form which will be available through online mode.
  • The application form will be released through online mode.
  • Candidates have to submit the admission form along with pre-admission enrollment form till the second week of June, 2019.
  • Candidates are instructed to fill the application form before the last date of apply.
  • All the details should be furnished carefully and accurately.
  • Keep the printout of the admission form till the admission process is over.
