at the Centres stated in the bulletin of Information.
DURATION OF COURSE: 5 Yrs including Internship.
Qualifying Examination :
A Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination the last 2 yrs of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training or equivalent qualification as prescribed in the Veterinary council of India- Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education - Degree Couse Regulations, 1993 or Candidates who have passed the B.Sc Examination from a recognised University with not less than two of the subjects- Physics, Chemistry & Biology & has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English.
To be eligibile for entrance examination the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination obtaining not less than 50%of the aggragate marks in in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English. For SC/ST Candidates marks required in the examination shall be 10% less than that prescribed in the general category.
Candidates who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the Entrance examination, or whose result is awaited may also apply & take the examination.
The Candidate has attained or will attain age of 17 yrs on 31st December, 2005.
APPLICATION FORM: The Bulletin & Application Form can be obtained by post on payment of Rs. 750/- for General Category & Rs. 400/- for SC/ST Category through a DD drawn in favour of "Veterinary Council of India" payable at New Delhi on any Scheduled bank . While requesting for Bulletin of Information and Application Form the candidate should send:
- Two Plain Papers slips with complete address (in Capital Letters) with PIN-code.
The request for the Bulletin of Information & application Form through Postal system should reach the office of Veterinary Council of India, "A" Wing, Second Floor, August Kranti Bhawan , Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-110066 along with the Bank Draft of Rs.750/- in case of General Category & Rs.400/- in case of SC/St Category from 3rd January 2005 to 14the February, 2005.
The Bulletin of Information and Application Form can be had by Hand on production of Bank Draft of Rs.700/- in case of General Category & Rs. 350/- in case of SC/ST Category drawn in favour of " Veterinary Council of india" payable at " New Delhi" or any Sceduled Bank on any working day between 10.00a.m to 12.00 noon & 2.00p.m to 4.00p.m from 3rd January. 2005 to 16th February from the following centres:
