Joint Entrance Examination – JEE Main 2013 Entrance Exam

Central Board of Secondary Education invites Application Form for JEE Main 2013 for admission to B.E. / B.Tech Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other institutions shall include the performance in the class 12th / other qualifying examination. JEE Main 2013 have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2.
The JEE Main 2013 Exam Paper 1 will also be an eligibility test for the JEE ( Advanced ), which the candidate has to take if he / she is aspiring for admission to the Undergraduate Programs offered by the IITs.

JEE Main 2013 Exam Mode
A. JEE Main 2013 Paper 1
The of JEE Main 2013 Paper 1 will be conducted in two separate modes :
- JEE Main 2013 Offline Mode ( Pen and Paper Based Examination ).
- JEE Main 2013 Online Mode ( Computer Based Examination ).
A candidate will opt for either JEE Main 2013 Pen and Paper Based ( or ) JEE Main 2013 Computer Based Examination modes for Paper 1 only.
B. JEE Main 2013 Paper 2
The JEE Main 2013 Exam Paper 2 will be conducted in Pen and Paper Based Examination mode only.

Note :
* The exact slots / dates for JEE Main 2013 Computer Based Examination shall be displayed on the JEE Website www.jeemain.nic.in by 1st February, 2013. The candidates will be required to make their slot / date selection through online mode during 1st February, 2013 to 15th February, 2013.
A candidate who opts for JEE Main 2013 Computer Based Examination and does not make this selection, for whatever reasons, shall be randomly assigned a slot based on the availability.
JEE Main 2013 Examination Type
JEE Main 2013 shall have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates may take Paper 1, or Paper 2, or both as per the course ( s ) they are seeking admission to subject combination for each paper, type of questions in each paper and mode of examination available is given in the table below.

Requirement of papers for different courses are given below :
- B.Arch / B. Planning ( At Institutions other than IITs ) – Paper 2.
- All other Undergraduate Courses – Paper 1.
Choice of JEE Main 2013 Exam Question Paper Language
- A candidate can choose the JEE Main 2013 Question Paper Language either in English or Hindi.
- Those candidates who have opted for centres in the state of Gujarat can also opt for question paper in Gujarati medium. The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the JEE Main 2013 Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
