Rayalaseema University PG Common Entrance Test – RUPGCET 2017

Rayalaseema University is named after the Rayas of Vijayanagara Empire – one of the most powerful rulers of South India during the 14-16 centuries AD. Established in the year 2008, Rayalaseema University has completed 30 years under the stewardship of two great universities, Sri Venkateswara University and Sri Krishnadevaraya University. At present, Rayalaseema University offers Postgraduate courses – MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, and MEd – and research programmes leading MPhil and PhD Degrees at the University College. The University College offers 18 PG courses through 15 Departments. The University has 129 affiliated colleges of which three colleges were granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.

Rayalaseema University invites applications for admission to PG Courses through RUPGCET 2017 Entrance Exam for the academic year 2017 – 2018.

Rayalaseema University RUPGCET 2017 Eligibility

The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% marks in the subject concerned. For the courses where admission is based on the degree as a whole, the aggregate percentage of marks in the group subjects should be at least 40%. For admission to M.Ed., the aggregate marks in B.Ed. / B.El.Ed should be at least 50% and in case of D.El.Ed with UG Degree course with 50% marks in each course. A pass is sufficient for SC / ST candidates for admission to any course.

For admission to M.Sc. in Data Science with a minimum of 50% marks in group subjects is compulsory. A minimum of 40% marks in group subjects is compulsory for SC/ST for admission to M.Sc. in Data Science. For M.Sc. Environmental science any B.Sc. second class graduate with chemistry as one of the subject. For M.P.Ed, B.P.Ed. or B.P.E. with 55% of marks are eligible.

Candidates who have already passed the qualifying examination or who have appeared / are appearing for the final year annual examination in 2017 are eligible to apply. Supplementary candidates of 2016 are not eligible.

Rayalaseema University RUPGCET Exam Pattern 2017

Each Entrance Test will be of 90 minutes duration with 100 multiple choice questions. Each question will be for one mark and there will be no negative mark for a wrong answer.

The question paper for Data Science, M.P,Ed., Electronics, English, and Computer Science will be in English only. For Telugu, question paper will be in Telugu only. For all other Tests, the question papers will be in both English and Telugu

The minimum qualifying mark in the Entrance Test is 25. However, for SC / ST candidates there is no minimum qualifying mark.

RUPGCET 2017 Reservation of Seats

85% of the seats in each course are filled with local candidates of RU region, while 15% are filled with local or non-local candidates on merit.

Seats allocated for different reserved categories are as follows : SC – 15%, ST – 6%, BCA – 7%,BCB – 10%, BCC – 1%, BCD – 7%, BCE – 4%; ECA : NCC – 1%, NSS – 1%, Games and Sports – 1%; PH ( Physically Handicapped ) – 3%, and CAP ( Children of Armed Services Personnel ) – 2%. ( ECA and PH are for local candidates only ).

Reservation for women : 33.33% of the seats are reserved for women candidates in each category ( i.e., OPEN, SC, ST, BC, ECA, and PH ).

RUPGCET Application Form 2017 

How to Apply 

The application should be submitted Online only at the website www.rudoa.in by registering the name and other details.

A Separate registration is required for each test. No change of subject shall be entertained at any stage.

Candidates should ensure uninterrupted power supply and internet connectivity before filling the application and making the payment online.

For speedy processing of application, candidates should keep a scanned copy of their latest passport size photo and signature in JPEG/ JPG format only with less than 100 KB in size.

Submission of filled in applications through online

Applications should be submitted through online only.

Read the eligibility conditions given in the prospectus for the test to be taken and ensure your eligibility before applying.

For online submission go to the website www.rudoa.in / https://ruk.ac.in and click on online registration button.

A candidate has to pay Rs. 400/- ( Rs. 300/- for SC / ST / PHC ) ( Plus Bank charges applicable for the mode of payment selected ) as Registration and Application Processing Fee ( and late fee if applicable ) by opting any of the following modes of payments : Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking.

After filling the online Application form with the required details, verify all the details carefully and press Submit button. Filled in Application Form will be generated that contains Application number along with filled details. Take print out of filled in Online Application Form. Use the Application number for future correspondence till the admission process is completed.

The Last date for submission of online applications without late fee is on or before 24th April, 2017.

The Last date for submission of online applications with late fee Rs. 1000/- is on or before 1st May, 2017.
