Himachal Pradesh Combined Pre-Entrance Test CPET 2008
Eligibility: Pass in 10+2 examination of HP Board of School Education or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English for General Seats; for Payment/NRI seats, candidate must have obtained 60% marks in the qualifying exam.
Admission Procedure: Application form along with brochure for CPET can be obtained from National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur-177005. Completed application with the requisite test fee should reach the institute by the notified date usually in April.
Selection: Selection is made on merit of the CEPT exam. The exam is held usually in May/June at Himachal Pradesh University Campus, Shimla 5; NIT, Hamirpur; Govt. College, Hamirpur; Government College Dharmashala and GC Mandi. Payment Seats Candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions may apply to the college directly.
Medium of Examination: English
Reservation of Seats: SC- 15%, ST-7.5%, Diploma holders-2 seats and teachers of Govt Polytechnics located in HP-2 seats.
