CUSAT CAT 2012 Exam Date

Important :

1. Only Online registration will be considered for all Academic Programs of the Cochin University except M.Phil courses, M.A. Translation in German / Russian, Ph.D and Diploma / Certificate programs.

2. For M.Phil, M.A Translation in German & Russian, Ph.D, Diploma and Certificate programs, applications can be had from the concerned Departments / Schools / Centres either directly or by post.

3. CUSAT Online registration will commence on 15th January, 2012.

CUSAT Common Admission Test – CUSAT CAT 2012 Exam Date

Cochin University of Science and Technology applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the various academic programs of the University for the academic year ( 2012 – 13 ).

CUSAT Admissions are based on

Common Admission Test ( CAT )
Departmental Admission Test ( DAT )
Test for Lateral Entry ( LET )

CUSAT Entrance Exam Date 2012 :

All B.Tech. Programs : ( Civil, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Safety and Fire, Mechanical, Ship Technology, Marine, Polymer Science & Rubber Engineering and Instrumentation ), 5 year Integrated M.Sc.in Photonics, M.A. Hindi, 5 year BBA LL.B.( Hons ) and M.A. Applied Economics.	05.05.2012
PG Programs : LL.M., MBA ( Part Time and Full Time ), MBA ( International Business ), MBA ( Travel and Tourism ), MCA, M.Sc. - Applied Chemistry, Biotechnology, Electronics Science, Environmental Technology, Hydrochemistry, Industrial Fisheries, Marine Biology, Marine Geology, Marine Geophysics, Mathematics, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics, Statistics and Instrumentation	06.05.2012
B.Tech. Lateral Entry to third Semester ( Civil, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Safety and Fire, Mechanical, Polymer Science & Rubber Engineering, and Instrumentation )	13.05.2012

CUSAT 2012 Seats Allotment :

Of the total seats for B.Tech ( Self – Financing) programs 50% are free seats, 40% are payment seats and 10% are NRI payment seats. The free seats are earmarked for Keralite students. For B.Tech. in Naval Architecture & Ship Building, Instrumentation and Polymer Science & Engineering 10% of the seats are reserved for students on all India basis ( All India Quota ) and the remaining seats for Keralites.

For all regular Post – Graduate Programs including subsidized Post – Graduate programs like M.C.A., M.B.A. ( International Business ), and 5 year Integrated M.Sc. in Photonics program 10% of the seats are set apart for students on all India basis ( All India Quota ) and the remaining for Keralites.

For Post – Graduate programs under Self – Financing sector 50% of the seats are given for Keralites, 10% for NRI’s and the remaining 40% open to all.

A candidate will be considered as a “Keralite” for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission, if

He / she or his / her father / mother was born in Kerala ( or )
He / she has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years ( or )
He / she has undergone his / her school studies from standards VIII to XII in educational institution ( s ) in Kerala ( or )
Children of All India Service ( AIS ) Officers ( Non Keralites ) allotted to Kerala circle are deemed to be “Keralites” [ GO ( Rt ) No.822 / H.Edn dated 29.05.2008 ]. But they will not be eligible for Communal / Special Reservations.

Rules for communal reservation framed by the Government of Kerala and implemented in the University from time to time will be applicable to the various academic programs. Besides communal reservation, specified number of seats are set apart under Special Reservation.

respected authorities i passed my intermediates in year 2010 ,securing 59% marks in pcm and 66% marks overall(aggregate).i am going to appear in improvement (compartment) exams of pcm in year 2011.i jst want to know whether i am eligible for the b.tech programs which reqire 60% of marks in pcm. thank you.

Sir, I got admission for CUSAT entrance exam under General Category. When I checked my application status it is mentioned Community Certificate and Income Certificate not attached.
