Goa Common Entrance Test 2008 (GCET 2008)

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) and admission procedure applicable to the Government, Government-aided and un-aided colleges in Goa offering Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine (Allopathic & Homoeopathy) and Pharmacy.

The Directorate of Technical Education is also authorised to process admissions for following seats, for which separate prospectuses are issued.

1. Direct admissions to Second Year of Degree courses for Diploma and B.Sc Degree holders.
2. Diploma programmes in the Polytechnics in Goa.
3. Nomination to Govt. of India seats in Engineering & Technology Colleges in other States.

Dates of GCET-08: 14 & 15 May 2008

First Year of Professional Degree Courses Session 2008-2009 in

  1. Medicine (M.B.B.S)
  2. Dentistry (B.D.S)
  3. Engineering (B.E)
  4. Pharmacy (B. Pharm. Science)
  5. Architecture (B.Arch)
  6. Homeopathy (B.H.M.S)

GCET 2008 Examination Schedule:

The Goa Common Entrance Test–2008 shall be held as per following schedule.

GCET 2008 Syllabus:

GCET-08 shall be based on the syllabus prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim, for Standard XIIth (Science) examination for the current year in the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science.
