A candidate who is not a permanent resident of Jharkhand, but has passed his MBBS Examination from any University/Medical College of Jharkhand state is also eligible as per the directives of Hon’ble High Court, Patna in CWJC No. 3448/2000.
(II) Whose mother/father is a permanent employee of United Nations Organisation and is presently posted in Jharkhand.
A candidate claiming eligibility under 5.2 (II) must submit an employment certificate duly signed and issued by the Employer or Head of the office/Department, in case of U.N.O. employee only.
Note: There should be similarity in the address as mentioned in certificates of the candidate and application form.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in PGMAT-2008.
No Objection Certificate:
A candidate who is in employment either in Government or else-where will be allowed to appear at the test only if he produces a certificate of “No Objection” from his employer with the condition that if selected he will be granted study leave to pursue the course. However, the candidates who are employees of Government of Jharkhand shall be issued admit card provisionally in the absence of such “No Objection” certificates. But After selection they will have to either produce relieving certificate from their controlling officer, or furnish an undertaking/affidavit that in case they are selected they shall resign from the service and shall undertake the studies as full time students. Such undertaking/affidavit is to be filed along with the application form and the relieving letter by the employer shall be submitted on or before the date of admission.
JCECE Examination:
(i) The medium of Examination will be English.
(ii) There will be a common Entrance Examination for all the courses consisting of two portions : (a) Pre & Para clinical (b) clinical.
(iii) The Examination shall be of MBBS standard and shall cover all the subjects of MBBS Course.
(iv) There may be more than one set of question papers, wherein questions remaining the same, serial number of questions will be variable.
(v) The Examination will be of only one paper consisting of questions in two sections as follows. The duration will be of 3 hours. In Pre and Para clinical subjects, there will be a total of 100 questions and in clinical subjects, there will be a total of 150 questions.
(vi) All the questions will be of objective type.

(ii) Surgery including orthopaedics & other sub Specialities e.g. Anaesthesia, Radio Diagnosis and Radiotherapy.
(iii) Ophthalmology
(iv) Otorhinolaryngology
(v) Obsterics & Gynaecology
Each question shall be of 1 (one) mark, which will be awarded for each correct response / answer and Quarter mark (0.25) will be deducted from the total marks obtained for each incorrect answer. Zero mark will be given for questions not answered. More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed as incorrect answer and quarter mark (0.25) will be deducted for every such question answered in that manner.
