JCECE PG Entrance 2010 Residential Requirements

A candidate who fulfills any of the following criteria is eligible for admission :-

  1. The candidate must be a citizen of India, and local resident of Jharkhand as per Memo No.-5/ Vividh-09/2001 (Domicile) Ka. 2691/Ranchi, dated 29/4/02 of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha Department, Government of Jharkhand, (Appendix-C) and he/she must have to attach photocopy of local resident certificate issued by the DC/SDO (Civil) of the state of Jharkhand in proper proforma as per appendix 'B'. The residential certificate must bear Memo No., date and seal of the issuing authority.

    Certificate issued by any one other than DC/SDO (Civil) shall not be entertained and will lead to rejection of his/her claim. No other document in support of his/her claim for residence will be entertained. or
    A candidate who is not a permanent resident of Jharkhand, but has passed his MBBS Examination from any University/Medical College of Jharkhand state is also eligible as per the directives of Hon'ble High Court, Patna in CWJC No. 3448/2000.
  1. Whose mother/father is a permanent employee of United Nations Organisation and is presently posted in Jharkhand.
    A candidate claiming eligibility under 5.2 (II) must submit an employment certificate duly signed and issued by the Employer or Head of the office/Department, in case of U.N.O. employee only.

Note: There should be similarity in the address as mentioned in certificates of the candidate and application form.

Age Limit :

There is no upper age limit for appearing in PGMAT-2010. (Vide the directives of Hon'ble High Court, Patna in CWJC No. 3309/2000 and 3341/2000).

No Objection Certificate :

A candidate who is in employment either in Government or else-where will be allowed to appear at the test only if he produces a certificate of "No Objection" from his employer with the condition that if selected he will be granted study leave to pursue the course.

However, the candidates who are employees of Government of Jharkhand shall be issued admit card provisionally in the absence of such "No Objection" certificates. But After selection they will have to either produce relieving certificate from their controlling officer, or furnish an undertaking/ affidavit that in case they are selected they shall resign from the service and shall undertake the studies as full time students.

Such undertaking/affidavit is to be filed along with the application form and the relieving letter by the employer shall be submitted on or before the date of admission.

JCECE PGMET 2010 Examination Scheme

  1. The medium of Examination will be English.
  2. There will be a common Entrance Examination for all the courses consisting of two portions :
    1. Pre & Para clinical
    2. clinical.
  3. The Examination shall be of MBBS standard and shall cover all the subjects of MBBS Course.
  4. There may be more than one set of question papers.
  5. The Examination will be of only one siting consisting of questions in two sections as follows. The duration will be of 3 hours. In Pre and Para clinical subjects, there will be a total of 100 questions and in clinical subjects, there will be a total of 150 questions.
  6. All the questions will be of objective type.

SECTION - I

Subjects Full Marks-100

  1. Anatomy
  2. Physiology + Biophysics
  3. Biochemistry
  4. Pathology
  5. Microbiology
  6. Pharmacology
  7. Preventive & Social Medicine
  8. Forensic Medicine and Toxicology

SECTION - II Full Marks-150

  1. Medicine including Paediatrics/Dermatology, STD & leprosy and Psychiatry
  2. Surgery including orthopaedics & other sub Specialities e.g. Anaesthesia, Radio Diagnosis.
  3. Ophthalmology
  4. Otorhinolaryngology
  5. Obsterics & Gynaecology

Each question shall be of 1 (one) mark, which will be awarded for each correct response / answer and Quarter mark (0.25) will be deducted from the total marks obtained for each incorrect answer. Zero mark will be given for questions not answered. More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed as incorrect answer and quarter mark (0.25) will be deducted for every such question answered in that manner.

JCECE PGMET 2010 Reservation :

  1. For the selection of candidates for admission in Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma courses, Reservation Policy/Rules of the Govt. of Jharkhand prevailing on the date of commencement of counselling will be applicable. For ready reference the Resolution No. 5800 dated 10.10.2002 and Letter No.-7072 dated 30.12.2003 of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha Department are given at the end of the prospectus as Appendix-D respectively. Certificate issued by any one other than DC/SDO (Civil) shall not be entertained and will lead to regection of his/her claim. No other document in support of his/her claim for residence/caste will be entertain.
  2. Candidates of reserved categories competing in General Merit List will not be counted against reserved category seats. Candidates of reserved category competing in General Merit List will have the option for general as well as the concerned reserved category seats. If seats of reserved category exhausted due to their option reserved seats will be compensated from seats of General Category.
  3. A candidate claiming admission on seats reserved for SC/ST/BC-I/BC-II will have to obtain caste certificate from DC/SDO (Civil) of the state of Jharkhand in the Performa as given in Appendix-A to this prospectus, No, other caste certificate other than Proforma in Appendix "A" will be acceptaed and will be debared from reserivation facility.
  4. Candidate's having different residential address in form and certificate submitted will be debared from the reservation facility.
  5. The candidates should clearly mention their respective categories (General/SC/ST/BC-I/BC-II) in spaces provided in Application Form. The allotment of seats shall be done on that basis. The category mentioned in the Computer Form shall be considered final, in case it differ from at other specified places. When there is no claim of category in the spaces provided, then he shall be considered in General Category. The responsibility of forfeiture of reservation claim shall lie on the candidate in case of any mistake(s) / carelessness on their part.
