Manipal University Online Entrance Test 2017 Instructions

The online entrance test is simple to get through.We assume that the applicant taking the online test has a basic familiarity with computers and is comfortable with the use of keyboard and mouse.

Please Remember 

The days on which you can appear for the online written test will be ascertained on the basis of the total number of applications received for a particular group of courses.

If, for instance, a large number of applicants have opted for one particular test centre, then the online test will be administered at that test centre on several days.

  • In the rare and unlikely event of a technical failure during the test, the candidate may be required to write the online test a second time. Of course, we assure you, it is most unlikely.
  • Please don’t forget to visit www.manipal.edu regularly to keep up with the latest announcements and updates on this.

Manipal University Online Test Booking System 

  • The online test booking system is a web based online scheduling system available on www.manipal.edu.
  • You can check out the test centres here and book yourself for the online test at a centre, date and time of your choice.
  • The schedule bookings are done on first – come – first – served basis and are subject to availability.

Manipal University Online Test Booking Password 

The online test booking password will be sent to the candidates email Id given in the application form sufficiently in advance. If you do not receive it, you should immediately get in touch with the admission office.

Please remember, MU is not responsible for non-receipt of password through email, especially if you have specified an incorrect email address, or an email address you no longer use.

Once you receive the password, please be sure to keep it completely secure and confidential. Please do not disclose it to anyone, or auto-save it, or do anything that will make it liable for misuse.

The online test booking password is your sole authentication for the online test and other related transactions; it is of no use to anyone else, and therefore, it should remain in your safekeeping.

MU will not be held responsible for any claim or loss that results directly or indirectly from any unauthorized use or misuse of your online test booking password.

While booking your test schedule, please ensure that you have the following with you

Manipal University Online Test 2017 Booking Procedure

While booking your test schedule, please ensure that you have the following with you 

  • A photocopy of your submitted application form.
  • Online test booking password.

A slot once booked cannot be changed. Requests for change of test centre, date or slot will not be entertained under any circumstances.In case of non – availability of slots in a centre of choice, the candidate may choose to book a slot in an alternate centre.

Also, if for any reason, including poor response of candidates for appearing at a particular centre, a test centre has to be cancelled, the candidates who had opted for that centre will be allotted another centre. The Manipal University will inform such candidates individually.

Manipal University online test booking system is available only to those eligible candidates who have submitted the application forms complete in all respects on or before the last date mentioned for the respective courses.

It is the responsibility of the candidate to book their test schedule in ONLINE TEST BOOKING SYSTEM in the given time frame. Manipal University will not be held accountable for the non – bookings. The entrance test fee will not be refunded under any circumstances for such cases.

The confirmation mail will be automatically sent to the email address after the candidate has booked his / her schedule through Manipal University Online Test Booking System.

Candidate will be allowed to take second attempt if she / he is not satisfied with his / her performance in the first test. The best of two scores will be considered for the merit list. Candidate can pay the additional entrance test fee in the Online Test Booking System and book the available slot for the second test. The payment option for the second test will be enabled in the Online Test Booking System only after the candidate takes the first test.

Manipal University Online Test 2017 Incomplete Applications 

Eligible incomplete application ( For Example : Declaration not signed, left thumb impression not taken, courses not mentioned, DD not enclosed, DD wrongly drawn, Internship date not mentioned, Photographs not affixed on the application etc. ) will not be processed. Manipal University will not take responsibility to inform these candidates. Such candidates will not be able to access the Online Test Booking System.

Candidates are hence advised to ensure that the application is duly filled and dispatched along with other enclosures complete in all respects.

 

Manipal University Admit Card 2017

Manipal University E Hall Ticket 2017

1. The e-hall ticket is important because it has your e-hall ticket number, the course/s you have applied for, address of the test centre, and the date and time of your test.

2. The system generates the e-hall ticket 24 hours after you have booked your schedule through the online test booking system.

3. It is issued to applicants who book their slots using the online test booking system before the booking end date for respective courses as per the booking schedule.

4. If there are any discrepancies, please do not hesitate to bring it to our notice.

5. You can get your e-hall ticket from here www.manipalotbs.com. To do that you will need to specify your application form number and online test booking password to download it.

6. A copy of your e-hall ticket will also be emailed to you. ( Please be sure to provide the correct email address in your application form ).

Please Remember 

  • The e-hall ticket will NOT be sent to you via post or fax.
  • Please take two printouts of the e-hall ticket on A4 size paper, only.
  • Take a minute to check that all the information on the e-hall ticket is clearly legible, especially your photograph and signature.
  • No applicant will be permitted to appear for the test without a valid e-hall ticket.
  • You must not deface the e-hall ticket, or attempt to change any information on it after it has been authenticated and received at the admission office.
  • The e-hall ticket is also not transferable to anyone else. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
  • The e-hall ticket is an important document; it must be preserved and produced at the time of counselling / admission.

The test is two hours long. It consists of multiple choice questions ( MCQ ) adding up to 100 marks.

The approximate distribution is as follows

BACHELOR OF DESIGN ( FASHION DESIGN ), BACHELOR OF SCIENCE ( FASHION DESIGN – COUTURE ) & BACHELOR OF ARTS ( INTERIOR DESIGN ) / DIPLOMA IN FASHION DESIGN

The Design Ability Test is two hours long. It carries 100 marks and examines the design aptitude of the applicant, in terms of creativity, drawing, innovation and visual communication.

MD, MS, PG Medical Diploma

The test is two and a half hours long. It consists of 200 multiple choice questions ( MCQ ) carrying 200 marks.

The test is two hours long and consists of 120 multiple choice questions ( MCQ ).

The test includes questions on reading comprehension, verbal ability ( spotting errors, sentence improvement, vocabulary etc. ), quantitative & numerical ability ( arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation etc. ) and reasoning & general intelligence ( analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, general intelligence etc. )

The test might also have a few questions on latest trends and developments in the media, social and economic areas.

MSC MEDICAL ( ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, BIOCHEMISTRY, MICROBIOLOGY, PHARMACOLOGY & CLINICAL EMBRYOLOGY )

The test is two hours long and consists of 3 sections of multiple choice questions ( MCQ ), covering BSc syllabus of major Indian universities.

The approximate distribution of questions is as follows

The test is one and a half hours long. The question paper consists of 60 multiple choice questions ( MCQ ).

  • Each question carries four marks and each correct answer is awarded four marks.
  • One mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The paper has 50 questions from the respective disciplines, and 10 questions from Engineering Mathematics.

Based on the qualifying degree, the applicant is expected to select any ONE of the NINE disciplines listed in the online test booking system. Request for change of discipline after selection in online test booking system will not be considered.

Manipal University UG 2017 Counselling Procedure

A) Come prepared for counselling

  • Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements given in Manipal University Prospectus 2017.

Documents Check Lists

  • e-Hall Ticket
  • 10th standard marks card for proof of date of birth
  • Marks card of 10+2
  • Conduct and Character certificate obtained on the School / College letter head / pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted.
  • Tr ansfer certificate or School / College Leaving Certificate issued by the School / College. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted.
  • Four recent and identical passport size photographs and one stamp size photograph
  • Two set of photocopies of all the above documents

Important Note : All the candidates are required to produce the above original documents for verification. In the event of admission, University will retain these documents till the completion of the course.

B) On day of counselling

  • The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counselling, he / she may authorise another individual to represent him / her at the counselling. This representative must carry the letter of authorization. CLICK HERE for the authorization letter format.
  • Only the candidate / representative will be allowed into the counselling hall.
  • Candidate should sign the attendance register to mark their presence and fill the registration form available at the registration counter.
  • Candidates will be called as per their MU OET 2017 rank for biometrics and document verification. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available. Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling. Manipal University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.
  • Absence of the candidate or his / her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.
  • The choice of course made by the candidate / representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

C) After Admission

  • Admission order and receipt/s for the payment made will be given to the candidate on completion of the admission process.
  • Selected candidates should fill the State Bank of India account opening form for combo ID card. The filled – in SBI account opening form should be submitted at the SBI counter. The combo card will function as university photo identity card, access control card, ATM and debit card. The combo card will not be issued if the account opening form is not submitted at the SBI counter.
  • Candidates who require hostel facility should report to chief warden of the allotted campus for hostel enrollment. Hostel will be allotted on payment of hostel fees only.
  • Candidates should report to the allotted college on or before the reporting date mentioned in the admission order.

Manipal University UG 2017 Counselling Fees

The first year course fees and registration fees should be paid by a single demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Manipal University’ payable at Manipal or Udupi.

Important Note : Part payments or payment in installments is not permitted. Nonpayment of the first year fees on the day of counselling will result in instantaneous forfeiture of seat.

Manipal University PG Counselling Procedure

A) Come prepared for counselling

Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements given in the Prospectus 2017.

Documents Check Lists

  • E-Hall Ticket
  • RN RM registration certificate ( For MSc Nursing Candidates Only )
  • Degree certificate or Provisional pass certificate issued by the Board / University
  • Marks cards of qualifying examination ( All semesters / years )
  • Conduct and Character certificate to be obtained on the College letter head / pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
  • Experience certificate in the format on the institution letter head. ( For MSc Nursing Candidates Only )
  • Medical fitness certificate from a physician with MD qualification ( For MSc Nursing Candidates Only )
  • Four recent and identical passport size photographs and one stamp size photograph

Important Note : All the candidates are required to produce the above original documents for verification. In the event of admission, University will retain these documents till the completion of the course.

B) On day of counselling

  • The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counseling, he / she may authorize another individual to represent him / her at the counselling. This representative must carry the authorization. CLICK HERE for the authorization letter format.
  • Only the candidate / representative will be allowed into the counselling hall.
  • Candidate should sign the attendance register to mark their presence and fill the registration forms available at the registration counter.
  • Candidates will be called as per their MU OET 2017 rank for biometrics and document verification. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available. Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling. Request for extension of dates for payment of fees or submission of original documents will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • Absence of the candidate or his / her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.
  • The choice of course made by the candidate / representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

C) After Admission

  • Admission order and receipt’s for the payment made will be given to the candidate on completion of the admission process.
  • Selected candidates should fill the State Bank of India account opening form for combo ID card. The filled – in SBI account opening form should be submitted at the SBI counter. The combo card will function as university photo identity card, access control card, ATM and debit card. The combo card will not be issued if the account opening form is not submitted at the SBI counter.
  • Candidates who require hostel facility should report to chief warden of the allotted campus for hostel enrollment.
  • Candidates should report to the allotted college on the day of counselling and complete the admission formalities without fail.

Manipal University PG 2017 Counselling Fees

The first year course fees, registration fees should be paid by a single demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Manipal University’ payable at Manipal or Udupi.

Important Note : Part payments or payment in installments is not permitted. Nonpayment of the first year fees on the day of counselling will result in instantaneous forfeiture of seat.
