Uttar Pradesh Technical University State Entrance Examination 2008 (UP SEE 2008) - Eligibility Details

2. Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria as given in clause 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 to appear in SEE-UPTU: 2008. However, the candidates appearing in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to appear in SEE UPTU: 2008 subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria as given in clause 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 at the time of counselling.

2.1 Eligibility to appear in SEE-UPTU: 2008 for Admission to First Year of B.Tech / B.Pharm / B.Arch / BHMCT / BFAD

(i) The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent) for admission to first year of different courses shall be as under:

(ii) For admission to first year of B. Tech. / B. Pharm, candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing (i) minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in total of required subject – combination (two compulsory & one optional) and (ii) minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in each compulsory and optional subject of this combination as given in clause 1.1(i).

(iii) For admission to first year of BHMCT/BFAD, candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

(iv) For admission to first year of B. Arch., a candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing, (i) minimum 50% marks in aggregate and (ii) minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in each compulsory and optional subject as given in clause 2.1(i). A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central / State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B. Arch. only, provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate,. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch. papers.

(v) All candidates who are eligible for the admission in B.Tech. courses are also eligible for B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering).

(vi) For admission to B. Tech. (Marine Engineering) programme the candidate must:

2.2 Eligibility to appear in SEE-UPTU: 2008 For admission to first year of MBA / MCA

(i) For admission to first year of MBA in any institution affiliated to U. P. Technical University, a candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

(ii) For admission to first year of MCA in any institution affiliated to U. P. Technical University, a candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in mathematics at 10+2 level or at bachelor degree level.

(iii) For admission to first year of MBA / MCA in other Universities, a candidate must have passed three years bachelor degree course with the conditions given in following table:
