BHU Course Eligibility 2019

UG

  • B.A ( Hons. ) Arts : Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with minimum 50% marks aggregate.
  • B.Com (Hons.) : Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with Commerce /  Economics /  Maths /  Computer Sc. / Finance / Financial Markets Management / Vocational courses ( related to Commerce ) as one of the subjects. Secure minimum 50% marks aggregate.
  • B.Com ( Hons. ) Financial Markets Management :  Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with Commerce /  Economics /  Maths /  Computer Sc. / Finance / Financial Markets Management / Vocational courses ( related to Commerce ) as one of the subjects. Secure minimum 50% marks aggregate.
  • B. Sc ( Hons. ) Maths Group : Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with Physics & Mathematics and any one of the following: Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Geography. Secure minimum 50% marks aggregate.
  • B. Sc ( Hons. ) Bio Group : Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with Physics & Chemistry and any one of the following: Biology, Geology, and Geography. Secure minimum 50% marks aggregate.
  • LLB ( Hons. ) : Passed BA / B.Sc / B.Com / Shastri ( at least 10+2+3 pattern ) with minimum 50% marks aggregate ( 40% in case of SC / ST).
    Age Limit: Not to be more than 30 years ( 35 years for SC / ST ) on 1st July, 2019.
    Age Criteria:

    • Candidates should not be more than 22 years on 1st July, 2019.
    • 5 years relaxation in upper age limits for SC / ST & PC categories.
    • 3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC category.
  • Note: For SC / ST candidates, there will be no requirement for the minimum percentage of marks ( except LLB / BA LLB ( Hons. ). For OBC  & PC candidates, there will be relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate.

PG

  • M.A ( English, Hindi, Urdu, Philosophy, Geography, Mathematics, Home Science ) : Passed BA (Hons. ) / BA under at least 10+2+3 pattern & secure minimum 50% aggregate marks ( except BA level ).
  • M.A ( Economics, Political Science, Sociology ) : Passed BA ( Hons. ) / BA / B.Sc ( Hons ) / B.Sc under at least 10+2+3 pattern & secure minimum 50% aggregate marks ( except BA / B.Sc level ).
  • M.Com : Passed B.Com ( Hons. ) / B.Com / B.Com ( Hons. ) – FMM under at least ( 10+2+3 ) Pattern & secure minimum 50% aggregate marks ( except B.Com level ).
  • M.Sc ( Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Home Science ) : Passed B.Sc ( Hons. ) / B.Sc. under at least 10+2+3 pattern & secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • M.Sc ( Biochemistry ) : Passed B.Sc. ( Hons. ) in Biochemistry / B.Sc. under at least 10+2+3 pattern with Biochemistry  &  secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • M.A ( Mass Communication ) : Passed graduate degree in any discipline under at least 10+2+3 pattern.
  • L.L.M : Passed 3 year LLB degree after graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern or five years LLB under 10+2+5 pattern.
  • Note : For SC / ST candidates, there will be no requirement for the minimum percentage of marks. For OBC  & PC candidates, there will be the relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate.

BHU Exam Pattern 2019

UG

  • Shifts : The examination will be organized into two shifts, i.e. 8:00 AM onwards ( 1st Shift ) & 3:00 p.m. onwards ( 2nd Shift ).
  • Exam Mode : The examination will be held in pen paper mode ( offline mode ).
  • Language : The questions will be asked in English & Hindi language.
  • Duration : The duration of exam will be 2 hours & 2½ hours as per the courses.
  • Number of Questions : In the examination total 150 multiple choice questions will be asked.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 450 marks.
  • Marking Scheme : For the correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking : For the incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

PG

  • Shifts : The examination will be conducted in three shifts, i.e. 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM ( 1st shift ), 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM ( 2nd Shift ) & 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM ( 3rd  Shift ).
  • Exam Mode: The exam will be held in offline mode.
  • Number of Questions: Total 120 multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination.
  • Duration: The exam duration will be 2 hours.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 360 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: For the incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

BHU Application Form 2019

  • BHU Application Form details will be available at the website : www.bhu.ac.in
  • Candidates will fill & submit the application form through online mode on the official website.
  • Aadhaar card will be mandatory to fill the application except for J & K, Assam & Meghalaya states.
  • The information bulletin & application form will not be sold in offline mode.
  • BHU online Application Form 2019 will be issued from the 1st week of  February, 2019 for both UG & PG courses.
  • The last date to fill the application form will be the 1st week of March, 2019.
  • Candidates must have scanned their photograph and signature as per instruction.
  • Take a printout copy of the online filled up application form for future records.

Application Fee

  • The application fee can be deposited through online ( credit card / debit card ) & offline ( Challan ) modes.
  • The Challan will be made from any branch of HDFC bank.
  • All courses [ Except Shastri ( Hons. ) ] SC / ST / PC fee is [rupee]  250/- Others fee is [rupee] 500/-
  • Shastri ( Hons. ) SC / ST / PC fee is [rupee]  100/- Others fee is [rupee] 200/-
  • Extra Fee ( If applying for more than one course ) SC / ST / PC fee is [rupee]  100/- Others fee is [rupee] 200/-

BHU Admit Card 2019

  • Candidates will get the BHU 2019 admit card through online mode. The university will also sent email / SMS alert regarding to the admit card in the candidates registered email ID / mobile number. BHU online admit card 2019 may be released in the 4th week of April, 2019 ( For UG ) &the 2nd week of  May, 2019 ( For PG ).
  • Candidates will be able to download their admit card by entering their email ID or registration ID.
  • Candidates have to paste passport size photograph in the space provided on the printout of the Admit Card under self-attestation.

BHU Syllabus 2019

  • The  UG courses, for syllabus will be comprised of 10+2 or equivalent examinations subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology.
  • The PG courses syllabus will contain topics & chapters of graduation level. It includes the question from the relevant field / course opted by the candidates. The law exam syllabus comprises of General Awareness and Current Affairs, Common Legal Knowledge, Aptitude and Mental Ability sections.

BHU Results 2019

  • Candidates will view their BHU results through online mode. It will be declared in the 3rd week of May, 2019.
  • It can be viewed by entering roll number in the given space. Candidates will also get their practical admit card if shortlisted for practical along with the result.
  • The university will also inform the candidates via email / SMS about marks, overall merit & merit within the category in their registered email ID & mobile number.
  • After a few days of the result declaration, the university will release the BHU cut off 2019 for various courses.

BHU Counselling 2019

  • The university will organize BHU counselling for admission to the various courses covered under UET/PET. It will be started from the 1st week of July, 2019.
  • Candidates will download their call letter to appear in the counselling. It will be issued through “Login” for the shortlisted candidates.
  • The University will adopt computerized counseling process for admissions to various courses. It will be comprised of the following steps: online preference entry, reporting to the counselling center  &  fee payment.
  • The admission of a candidate in a course will be done as per the merit, eligibility requirements, availability of seats, etc.

  • 10th  & 12th Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate.
  • Mark Sheet ( Qualifying Exam ).
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate.
  • Admit Card ( UET / PET ).
  • Category Certificate.
  • Other Certificates ( If required ).
