IAPT Entrance Exam 2019

Indian Association of Physics Teachers invites admission application for National Standard Examinations leading to admission in the following programs for the academic year 2019 – 2020.

National Standard Examination in :

  • Physics – NSEP
  • Chemistry – NSEC
  • Biology – NSEB
  • Astronomy – NSEA
  • Junior Science – NSEJS

IAPT NSE Eligibility 2019

NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, NSEA :

  • Must be eligible to hold an Indian passport.
  • Date of birth between 1st July, 1999 and 30th June, 2004, both days inclusive.
  • Must be residing and studying in India since 30th November, 2016 or earlier. OR Must be studying in an Indian school system since 30th November, 2016 or earlier.
  • Must not have completed ( or scheduled to complete ) class 12 board examination earlier than 30th November, 2019.
  • Must not have commenced ( or planning to commence ) studies in a university or equivalent institution by 1st June, 2020.
  • Must not be appearing in NSEJS 2019.

NSEJS :

  • Must be eligible to hold an Indian passport.
  • Date of birth between 1st January, 2004 and 31st December, 2005, both days inclusive.
  • Must be residing and studying in India since 30th November, 2016 or earlier. OR
  • Must be studying in an Indian school system since 30 November, 2016 or earlier.
  • Must not have completed ( or scheduled to complete ) class 10 board examination earlier than 30th November, 2019.
  • Must not be appearing in any of NSEA, NSEB, NSEC or NSEP 2018.

IAPT NSE Exam Pattern 2019

Question Paper Pattern

NSEP :

  • 3 – mark questions, each with only one of four options correct.
  • 6 – mark questions, each with one or more than one option correct.
  • To get credit, all the correct option ( s ) and no incorrect option ( s ) should be marked.

NSEC :

  • 80 multiple choice questions with negative marking.

NSEB :

  • 80 multiple choice questions with negative marking.

NSEA :

  • 80 multiple choice questions with negative marking.

NSEJS :

  • 80 multiple choice questions with negative marking.

IAPT NSE Application Form 2019

Indian Association of Physics Teachers Entrance Exam application form is available in the official website www.iapt.org.in.

  • Candidates cannot register online individually. They have to register through registered centre ( any school or college affiliated to state / centre boards can become a centre – read student and teacher brochure for details ). The list of registered centres will be published on IAPT website on 1st September, 2019 )
  • Parents / students are requested to contact the principal’s of the school in which their ward is studying to register as a centre ( there is no fees for centre registration ).
  • Principals of the registered centres are hereby requested to enrol candidates from other schools, who approach you with necessary fee and help students to appear for the examination.
  • Students can go through student brochure for details of examination, eligibility criteria, selection procedure etc. The eligibility criteria announced in the brochure is final and no request for change will be entertained.
  • Student registration forms can be downloaded from the website. The filled in form should submitted to the centre – in – charge with necessary fee before the last date of registration.
  • One time registration fee is ₹ 150/- per subject.
  • Students registering from states other than the state in which they are studying will be considered under the quota of the state of studying. Such students have to furnish Aadhar card and school ID card at the time of examination. Otherwise they will be disqualified for appearing for INO ( if selected )
