SAAT Admission Eligibility 2019

Under Graduate Programs

B.Tech 

  • Candidate should passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Technology /Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics / Statistics / Technical Vocational subject or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority with atleast 45% marks ( 40% in case of SC / ST / OBC category).

B.Pharm 

  • Candidate should passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities ( AIU ) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics ( P.C.M )  and or Biology ( P.C.B / P.C.M.B. ) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. ( As per the norms and regulations of Pharmacy Council of India )

BHMCT 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at 10+2 examination in any discipline with atleast 45% marks ( 40% in case of SC / ST / OBC category )

B.Sc. in Nursing ( Basic ) 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at 10+2 examination with atleast 45% marks in aggregate ( Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together ) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC / ST / OBC candidates and must have passed in English.

Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing ( Post Basic )

  • Candidate should passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council.

BBA

  • Candidate should passed or appearing the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream.

BCA

  • Candidate should passed or appearing the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream having Mathematics.

B.Sc. in in Agriculture

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at 10+2 examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General and OBC categories, 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories, with PCM / PCB / PCMB subject combinations. Candidates must have passed in English 10+2 examination.

B.A. LLB. ( Hons ) and B.B.A. LLB. ( Hons )

  • Candidate should passed or appearing the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC / ST and 42% in case OBC. There is no upper age limit at present, however it is subjected to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and BCI notification in this regard

SAAT Post Graduate Programs

M.Tech. 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing in B.Tech. or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination. OR Pass or appearing in M.Sc. ( Electronics ) are eligible for M.Tech. in VLSI Designing and Embedded System / M.Tech. in Microelectronics / M.Tech. in Digital Signal & Image Processing / M.Tech. in Communication System Engineering.
  • Candidate should passed or appearing in B.Tech. or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination are eligible for M.Tech. in Structural Engineering / M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Candidate should passed or appearing in B.Tech. or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category ) at the qualifying Examination. OR Pass or appearing in MCA or M.Sc. ( Mathematics ) degree is eligible for M.Tech. in Computer Science & Data Processing.
  • Candidate should passed or appearing in B.Tech. or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category ) at the qualifying Examination are eligible for M.Tech. in Power Electronics & Drives / M.Tech. in Energy Technology & Management / M.Tech. in Renewable Energy Engineering & Management / M.Tech. in Power Systems & Power Electronics.
  • Candidate should passed or appearing in B.Tech. or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination. OR M.Sc. in Computer Science and IT are eligible for M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / M.Tech. in Computer Science & Informatics.
  • Candidate should passed or appearing in B.Tech. or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category ) at the qualifying Examination are eligible for M.Tech. in Thermal Science & Heat Power Engineering / M.Tech. in Manufacturing Sciences & Engineering / M.Tech. in Mechanical System Design.
  • A candidate with B.Tech. ( Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Metallurgy ) or M.Sc. ( Environmental Science / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Geology / Life Science / Botany / Zoology ) is eligible for M.Tech. in Environmental Science & Technology.
  • Candidate should passed M.Sc. ( Physics ) / M.Sc. ( Chemistry ) / B.Tech. ( Electronics & Communication Engg. ) / B.Tech (Electrical Engg.) is eligible for For M.Tech. Material Science & Technology.
  • Candidate should passed B.Tech. / B.E. in Biotechnology or related fields / M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent / MBBS / B.Pharm. / B.V.Sc. with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible for M.Tech. in Biotechnology.

MCA 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognized University with atleast 50% of marks ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC Category ) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level. Candidates having Business mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible.

MBA / MHA / MHM / MTTM 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing minimum three years of Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts / B.E. / B.Tech. / MBBS / B.Pharm. / B.Sc. Agri. / BVSC / BHMS / BAMS / BDS / BPT / BHMCT / BBA / BCA examination or equivalent, from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category ).

M.Pharm 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at B.Pharm examination from any recognized University with atleast 55% marks. The admission of selected candidates shall be subjected to any other mandatory requirements as per the norms of Pharmacy Council of India.

M.Sc. ( Biotechnology / Nano Science & Nano Technology / Medicinal & Aromatic Plants / Molecular Biology ) 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at Bachelor degree in Science / Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering & Technology / Medicine ( MBBS / BDS ) / Physics ( Honours ) / Chemistry ( Honours ) / Mathematics ( Honours ) or equivalent from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks ( 4 5% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category ).

M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at Bachelor degree in Science Physics ( Honours ) / Chemistry ( Honours ) / Mathematics ( Honours ) or equivalent respectively from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category ).

M.Sc. ( Chemical Biology & Drug Design ) 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing B.Sc. with Chemistry ( Honours ) / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / B.Pharm / M.Pharm with atleast 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).

M.Sc. in Nursing 

  • Candidate should passed B.Sc. Nursing ( Basic / Post Basic ) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area after registration in respective State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.

LLM 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing Bachelor degree in Law or studied Integrated Law courses or equivalent thereof, from any recognized university.

M.Sc. ( Agriculture ) 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing B.Sc. ( Agriculture ) / B.Sc.( Horticulture ) from any recognized University by State and Central Government Marks in qualifying examination.
  • Candidate should have OGPA 6.5 and GPA 7.0 in concerned discipline on 10 point scale.
  • Candidate belonging to SC / ST / PH shall have OGPA 5.5 And GPA 6.0 in concerned discipline on a 10 point scale.
  • The requirement of minimum percentage of marks ( OGPA / GPA ) as indicated above shall not be applicable to the candidate sponsored by State Government / Central Government / Nominee of ICAR.

MBA ( Agribusiness )

  • Candidate should passed or appearing B.Sc. ( Ag. ) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Tech. ( Ag. Engg. ) / B.Tech. ( Dairy Science / Biotechnology ) / B.F.Sc. B.Sc.( Forestry) / BAMS / B.Sc.( Hort. ) / B.Sc.( H.Sc. ) / B.Tech / B.Sc. / B.Com. / BBA from a recognized University with 50% marks for general and 45% marks for SC / ST / PH candidates and 55% for Graduate of Agriculture and allied subjects.

Lateral Entry Programmes

Admission to 2nd year Degree Programme ( Lateral Entry ) in Engineering, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders

Lateral Entry B.Tech 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing three year Diploma examination in Engineering / Hotel Management with at least 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training ( SCTE&VT ), Odisha or equivalent.
  • Otherwisae, Candidate should passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.

Lateral Entry B.Pharm 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) from State Board of Pharmacy ( SBP ), Odisha, or equivalent.

Lateral Entry BHMCT 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing three years diploma in hotel management or equivalent after 10+2 or equivalent, with minimum 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ).

Lateral Entry MCA 

  • Candidate should passed or appearing in three year Bachelor of Computer Application ( BCA ), B.Sc. in Information Technology ( H ) and B.Sc. in Computer Science ( H ) or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level, with atleast 50% of marks in aggregate ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination from any recognized University.

SAAT Admission Exam Pattern 2019

  • SAAT 2019 will be conducted in the online mode. Candidates can check here the exam pattern for SAAT 2019 as per the different subjects. The exam pattern of SAAT 2019 will mention the number of questions going to be asked for the examination.

SAAT Admission Application Form 2019

  • SAAT admission application form will be available at website : www.soa.ac.in.

Submission of filled in SAAT 2019 Application Form

  • Check the eligibility criteria for each programme before filling up the online application form.
  • Check that the online application form has been properly and completely filled up.
  • Application process : Incomplete application will not be accepted. Please follow the below mentioned process below to complete your application process.
  • All candidates are requested to keep the scanned copy of Photo and Signature to upload during filling up the application form.  ( Recent Colour passport size Photograph ). ( File size: Less than 1 MB / File format: : png gif jpg jpeg.)
  • The candidates are also required to keep the Identity Proof before filling the form.
  • Step 1: 
    • Fill up Name, Email and Mobile Number
  • Step 2 :
    •  Receive One Time Password ( OTP ) at the given Mobile Number and enter OTP to verify.
  • Step 3 :
    • After OTP verification your login will be created. Candidates can login to the portal to fill up the application form. Please check your email for the login details.
  • Step 4 :
    • Complete the application form as required and submit.
  • Step 5 :
    • Download and print your Application form for future reference. The submitted application can be accessed through login account.
  • Step 6 :
    • The acknowledgement for successful submission of application form of the SAAT 2019 will be intimated to your Email Id.

SAAT Admission Admit Card 2019

  • The Hall Ticket will be issued only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their online application forms complete in all respects, on or before the last date as specified.
  • The Hall Ticket will contain name, photograph, programme, subject, address of the candidate, address of the Test Centre allotted and test schedule.
  • Hall ticket can be downloaded from April, 2019 onward through candidates login / dashboard.
  • The Hall Ticket once received should be carefully examined by the candidate. If any discrepancy is noticed it should immediately be brought to the notice of the Director, Admissions.
  • No candidate will be permitted to attend the test without a valid Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket should be presented to the invigilators for verification.
  • Candidate must not tamper with the Hall Ticket or alter any entry made therein after it has been authenticated.
  • The Hall Ticket is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
  • The Hall Ticket is an important document. It should be preserved and produced at the time of counseling and admission.
  • Hall Ticket not received due to application being incomplete: SOA University does not take any responsibility to inform candidates whose applications are incomplete. Candidates are advised to double check that the application form is complete in all respects before posting.
  • Candidates must preserve the admit card till the admission process is over.

SAAT Admission Results 2019

  • A separate merit list for all qualifying candidates shall be prepared on the basis of SAAT 2019 scores. Separate merit lists will also be drawn for candidates qualifying under each of the reservation categories.
  • In addition to the merit list, each qualified candidate will also be able to download their rank card from the official website. On the basis of the scorecard and merit list, the candidates will be called for the counselling rounds. The counselling schedule will be uploaded on the website of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan ( SOA ).

SAAT Admission Counselling 2019

  • The counselling of qualified candidates shall be held in the university campus / ITER Campus. The exact schedule of counselling / percentage of seat allocation shall be intimated later to the qualified candidates along with their rank cards. Counselling and seat allocation will be purely on merit basis i.e. based on the performance in the Entrance Examination. Counselling Schedule will be published in the website on the day of declaration of result. Candidates have to attend the counselling as per the schedule. Verification of original documents would be done at the time of counselling / admission, so as to verify records of identification, age, qualifying examination and category of candidates. Candidates must be qualified in SAAT 2019 or any equivalent state / national level entrance test. The university will fill up 15% of seats in professional programs in view of the instruction issued by the UGC ( Admission to specified professional programs 1st Amendment interim regulation, 2003 ). Rest of the seats will be filled up through counselling ( SAAT 2019 ).
  • For lateral entry, the university shall fill up 20% of seats in each branch of B.Tech, B.Pharm and BHMCT through counselling over and above the sanctioned strength.
  • The university reserves the right to fill up the vacant seats, if any, in any discipline duly approved by the competent authority of the university.
