Programme: IIT Kharagpur offers Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology(PGDIT) programme (full time) at three locations : Kaharagpur, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar. Instruction is provided in a combination of distance and contact modes. This two-semester PG Diploma programme is designed to focus on the fundamental components as well as on the advanced aspects and innovative applications of Information Technology.
Programme Fees: Rs. 50,000 per semester.
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelor degree in any branch of Engineering or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics , Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Applications (with Mathematics as a subject at Bachelors level) with a programme marks 60% or equivalent CGPA. Final year students completing the above qualifying programme by July 2006 can also apply.
Mode of Selection: Selection is strictly based on the performance in objective type written test of 2 hour duration.
Test Centres: Balgalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Visakhapatnam.
