NEET Eligibility

  • Eligibility for appearing in NEET ( UG ) is as stipulated in Indian Medical Council Act-1956 / Regulations as amended in 2019 and the Dentists Act-1948 / Regulations as amended in 2019. Eligibility as per related regulations is as follows:-
  • He / she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his / her admission to the 1st year MBBS / BDS Course.
  • The upper age limit for NEET ( UG ) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  • The Age criteria for appearing in NEET ( UG ) – 2019 is as follows
    • For Candidates of Unreserved Category ( UR ) – born on or between 07th May, 1993 and 01st January, 2003
    • For Candidates of SC / ST / OBC / PH Category – born on or between 07th May, 1988 and 01st January, 2003
  • Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians ( NRIs ), Oversees Citizen of India ( OCIs ), Persons with Indian Origin ( PIOs ) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET ( UG )-2019. ( As per letter no. U.12023/16/2010-ME-II dated 13th January, 2016. of MoH & FW ).

Eligibility for seats under the control of states / Deemed Universities / Central Universities / Seats of ESIC & AFMC Including BHU & AMU / central pool quota

  • Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians ( NRIs ), Oversees Citizen of India ( OCIs ), Persons with Indian Origin ( PIOs ) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical / Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institution and the Government of India.
  • Foreign nationals may confirm their eligibility from the concerned Medical / Dentals College / State.

Eligibility for 15% All India quota seats

  • Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians ( NRIs ), Oversees Citizen of India ( OCIs ), Persons with Indian Origin ( PIOs ) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.
  • Candidates from State of J & K
    • Students from State of J & K are NOT ELIGIBLE for 15% all India quota seats as State of J & K has opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically alongwith confirmation page for the record and to present during counselling.
    • The online Self Declaration of the candidates will be verified at the time of counselling and if found to be false at any time, the candidature / admission of such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.
    • Candidates from the State of J & K can appear in NEET ( UG ) for admission to Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private / Deemed University and Armed Forces Medical College ( AFMC ), Pune subject to the fulfilment of eligibility conditions.
    • The Government of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana vide their letter no.13021 / C1 / 2016 dated 06th November, 2017 & letter no.7072 / C1 / 2017 dated 07th November, 2017 respectively have informed that Government of Andhra Pradesh and Government of Telangana have decided to join and contribute to the All India Quota seats. Accordingly, the candidates of these States have also become eligible for 15% All India Quota seats ( As per letter No. F.No. V.26012 / 05.2017-MEP / MEC dated 10th January, 2019, Directorate General Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India )

Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination Exam Pattern 2019

  • The exam will be organized through Pen – Paper based
  • There will be objective type questions in the exam.
  • The exam duration will be of three hours.
  • Total 180 questions will be asked.
  • The question paper will be asked in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Kananda languages.
  • For each correct answer, four marks will be given.
  • For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination Application Form 2019

  • Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination Application Form can be downloaded at NEET- UG Official website : www.cbseneet.nic.in
  • The Following Documents must be submitted with the application form
    • 10th class marksheet
    • 12th class marksheet
    • Scanned copy of candidate’s passport sized photograph
    • Scanned copy of candidate’s signature
  • Candidates have to pay the application fee through UPI App / Debit card / Credit Card / Net Banking / E-wallet
  • The application fee of NEET 2019 is ₹1400/-  for general & OBC candidates and ₹750/-  for SC / ST / PH candidates.

Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination Admit Card 2019

  • The CBSE will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET ( UG ) on the Boards website www.cbseneet.nic.in
  • Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein.
  • Candidate may please note that admit cards will not be sent by post. When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in pdf format will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered email id. The Admit Card will bear the candidate‟s Roll Number, Name, Father‟s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination centre allotted.
  • The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card downloaded by him / her for all the entries made therein.

Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination  Exam Centers 2019

  • The exam centres will be notified by the NTA before the release of the application form.
  • Previously, In 2018, NEET was held across 2255 exam centres in 136 cities.
  • Aspirants are required to fill in their choice of exam centre according to their order of preference while filling up the application.
  • However, the preference for NEET 2019 Exam Centers is still limited to 3 choices for all the applicants.
  • All the exam centers will have an option for taking NEET in English, Hindi and Urdu.
  • The option for vernacular languages will be limited to that particular state only. In total, 8 vernacular languages will be available apart from English, Hindi and Urdu.
  • Candidates in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya without Aadhaar Card need to select exam cities within their own state only. Final allocation of the center will be done by NTA on first-cum-first-serve basis.
  • NEET exam centres will be allotted according to the preference of the candidates and also according to the availability of centres for conducting NEET.

Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination Syllabus 2019

  • Exam syllabus includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology curriculum of class XI and XII by CBSE. It is prepared after the Medical Council of India ( MCI ) reviews various State Syllabi as well as those prepared by NTA, CBSE, NCERT, and COBSE

Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination Result 2019

  • Students those will appear in the exam can check their result via online mode.
  • NEET 2019 Result will be announced on 5th June, 2019.
  • It will not be prepared category wise.
  • There will be no provision of re-evaluation / re-checking of the answer sheets.

Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination Counselling 2019

  • NEET Counselling will be conducted for 15% All India Quota Seats and 85% for State Quota Seats. MCC under the aegis of MCI ( Medical Council of India ) manages the counselling for 15% AIQ seats while for remaining seats, state counselling authorities manage seat allotment and counselling. Seat Allocation will be done as per the rank and score obtained in the exam.
  • The counselling procedure requires qualified candidates to register online.
  • Once you’ve registered online, you can select the course and colleges as per your preference. Save and lock your choices once you’re done with the selection.
  • The process of seat allotment will be conducted in three rounds based on your rank and the choices filled during the online registration.
  • While most institutes follow a centralized counselling process, some may have their own counselling procedures.
