CET Karnataka Eligibility 2019

Engineering / Technology courses ( B.E. / B.Tech )

  • Candidate sholud passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio – Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer. ( 40% for SC, ST, Cat – 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates )

Farm Science courses 

  • Candidate should passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects
  • In the case of Agriculturist Quota, the merit list will be prepared based on 25% marks each, secured in concerned combinations in II year PUC ( PCMB ) & CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test. In case of B.V.Sc & AH merit will be prepared based on 50% of Marks secured in CET ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology ) and 50% of marks scored in the practical test.
  • Candidate must get Minimum of 50% marks in Practical Examination is required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry ( B.V. Sc. & A.H. ) 

  • Candidate should passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std. and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. ( 40% for SC, ST, Cat – 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates )

B – Pharma 

  • Candidate should passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. ( 40% for SC, ST, Cat – 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates ) OR
  • Candidate should passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. ( 40% for SC, ST, Cat – 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates )

2nd Year B. Pharma 

  • Candidate should passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. ( 40% for SC, ST, Cat – 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates )

Pharma – D 

  • Candidate should passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Otherwise, candidate should passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

CET Karnataka Exam Pattern 2019

  • While preparing for the examination, the candidates are advised to check the exam pattern of KCET 2019. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to get familiar with how the examination is conducted. Details about the mode of exam, type of questions asked, marking scheme and more will be made available in the KCET 2019 exam pattern. Using the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to be prepare well for the examination.

CET Karnataka Admit Card Details 2019

  • KEA will be releasing the admit card of KCET 2019 tentatively in the first week of April. Registered candidates will be able to access their admit card in online mode. KCET 2019 admit card is an important document which has to be kept safely and produced at the examination venue.
  • Failure to produce the admit card will lead to candidate’s inability to attempt the examination. Various information such as the exam centre address, timings and more will be present in the admit card.

CET Karnataka Selection Procedure 2019

Engineering / Technology courses ( B.E. / B.Tech )

  • By taking marks in equal proportions in QE and CET in PCM subjects. ( No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET )

Farm Science courses

  • By taking marks in equal proportions in QE and CET in PCMB subjects. ( No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET )

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry ( B.V. Sc. & A.H. )

  • Only on the basis of marks obtained in PCB in CET. ( No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET. )

B – Pharma, 2nd Year B. Pharma, Pharma – D

  • Only on the basis of marks obtained in PCM or PCB Subjects ( whichever is higher ) in CET. ( No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET. )

CET Karnataka Exam Centres 2019

  • The exam centres of KCET 2019 are the places where the entrance examination will be conducted by the authorities. While filling the application form, the candidates will have to select their preferred exam cities. Allotment of exam centre will be done according to the preferred exam city and availability of the centre.
  • Details about the exam centre will be present in the admit card. An exam city may have multiple KCET 2019 exam centres. For the previous session, there were 53 exam cities involved in the examination.

CET Karnataka Syllabus 2019

  • The syllabus of KCET 2019, the candidates will be able to set up their schedule for preparation. Understanding which topics and chapters have to be studied for the examination can help the candidates prepare well for the examination.
  • KCET 2019 syllabus will be the same as the syllabus of First and Second Pre-University Course ( PUC ) as specified by Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. The candidates can expect the topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to be present in the syllabus.

CET Karnataka Results 2019

  • The result of KCET 2019 will be announced tentatively in the first week of June by KEA. The candidates will be able to access the result in online mode.
  • Details of the candidates’ performance in the examination i.e., their secured scores and ranks will be present in the KCET 2019 result. Allotment of seats will be done according to the individual result of the candidates.

CET Karnataka Counselling 2019

  • The candidates will be conducting the counselling of KCET 2019 in offline mode. Firstly, the candidates will have to verify their documents tentatively from the second week of June.
  • After verification, the candidates will have to fill and lock their choices of courses and colleges. Filling of choices has to be done according to the preference of the candidates. After the mock allotment, the candidates will also have to provision to modify their choices.
