Exam Date: Sunday 3rd February, 2008.

Conducted by University of Pune.

University of Pune, as State Agency, will conduct XXII SET Examination at Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nashik, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Nanded, Amravati, Nagpur, Solapur, Chandrapur & Panaji(Goa) Centers on Sunday, the 3rd February, 2008 in the following subjects :

Marathi, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, History, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Defence and Strategic Studies, Home Science, Library and Information Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, Social Work, Public Administration, Mathematical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Geography, Computer Science and Application, Electronic Sciences, Commerce, Law, Education and Physical Education.

Candidates have to appear for SET in the subject of their Post Graduation only.

Those Post Graduate Students who have passed Post Graduate examination in more than one subjects can appear for SET examination only in one subject at a time.

A) Conditions of Eligibility :-

1. Candidates belonging to OPEN/DT/NT/OBC/SBC categories and having secured minimum 55% marks (without gracing) in Master’s Degree are eligible to appear for this test.

2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST & PH(Physically Handicapped) / VH(Visually Handicapped) having secured minimum 50% marks (without gracing) in Master’s Degree are eligible to appear for this test.

3.SET Unit will not be responsible for acceptance of forms, appearance at SET Examination or to declare the result of those candidates who are not fulfilling the eligibility conditions as required by UGC.

As per U.G.C. guidelines, Paper - III will be evaluated only for those candidates who are able to secure the minimum qualifying marks in Paper - I & Paper - II as per the table given below: -

B) Procedure of Obtaining Application Forms & Paying Fees :-

1. The Examination forms, syllabus etc. are available in all the Non-Agricultural Universities except Solapur. At Solapur the forms are available at Walchand college of Art's & science, Solapur. At Chandrapur the forms are available at S.P.Collage, Chandrapur.

Application Form, Prospectus and Syllabus is available on payment of Rs. 100/- to be paid only by Demand Draft on any Nationalised Bank, payable to The Registrar, University of Pune, Pune – 7.

If you require the application form by Post, please mention the Subject & Name in your request letter as well as on envelope also. Candidate must provide his/her full name and address alongwith the pin code in the request letter and on the envelope also.

2. The Examination Forms are also available on Cash Payment only at SET Bhavan, University of Pune, Pune–7 IN PERSON between 11.00 a.m. & 5.00 p.m. only on working days during the period mentioned below.

3. The Examination fee is Rs 400/- for SC/ST/DT/NT/SBC/VH/PH candidates, and for OPEN/OBC candidates, the Examination Fee is Rs. 500/-. Examination fees should be paid by Demand Draft as mentioned above.

4. The candidates can pay examination fees in Bank of Maharashtra, University of Pune campus through Bank Challan only during Bank hours.
