Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) 2009 for admission into M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch./M.Plg. Courses in the University and Affiliated Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Applications are invited for appearing at the Post-graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) for admission into M.E. /M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch/M.Plg. (Full Time) in University and Affiliated Engineering Colleges in A.P. to be conducted by Osmania University of Higher Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Exam Date for PGCET 2009: 26-05-2009 (Tuesday) to 02-06-2009 (Tuesday)

PGECET 2009 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates satisfying the following requirements will be eligible to appear for the PGECET – 2009.

1. The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

2. The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirement as laid down in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order of 1974 as subsequently amended.

3. The candidate should have passed or appeared for the final year of B.E./B.Tech/AMIE/B.Pharmacy/B.Arch./B.Planning or equivalent examination for seeking admission into post-graduate courses and its specialization. Specialization under Category-I, II, III (See the Annexure A & B in the information booklet).

4. Eligibility requirement is as per each programme/course offered and details are given information booklet which is available along with application form or in website:www.osmania.ac.in and www.pgecet2009.net

5. Mere qualifying in the entrance test does not entitle a candidate to have been admitted in to PG Engineering course unless the candidate satisfies all the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the authority concerned.

Note:

1. The vacant seats if any after admitting GATE qualified candidates will be filled with the candidates based on the Rank secured in the PGECET – 2009.

2. Separate notification will be issued shortly for admission to PG courses in Engineering for GATE Qualified candidates. However, such candidates may also appear for PGECET in case they wish to seek admission in other interested specializations.

PGECET 2009 Important Dates

• Commencement of sale of application forms :09-04-2009 (Thursday)

• Last date for the sale & receipt of application forms:

1. without late fee: 30-04-2009 (Thursday)

2. with a late fee of Rs.500/- through D.D: 07-05-2009 (Thursday)

3. with a late fee of Rs.2500/- through DD: 14-05-2009 (Thursday)

4. Date of Entrance Test: 26-05-2009 (Tuesday) to 02-06-2009 (Tuesday)

PGECET 2009 Sale of Application Form

Prescribed application form for the entrance test together with instructions booklet can be obtained in person through D.D. drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of Secretary, APSCHE, Hyderabad for Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST students) at the following centers:

PGECET 2009 Submission of Application Form

Duly filled-in-application forms may be submitted along with relevant documents by Speed Post/Courier to the Convener, PGECET-2009, University College of Engineering (Autonomous) Campus, Osmania University, Hyderabad – 500 007, India on or before 30-04-2009 (Thursday) up to 5:00 p.m.
