1. 2. IGRUA offers the following courses commencing from November, 2007.

A	5th Ab-initio to CPL Course	Very High Quality Training for issue of CPL from 00:00 Hrs. with Multi–engine endorsement and Instrument Rating (IR) on Single / Multi-engine Aircraft	31	06	03	Presently 2 years. Likely to be reduced to 1 year.	10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Maths & English as main subjects with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Maths & Physics. For SC/ST candidates and those having higher degree in Science minimum aggregate marks in Physics & Maths is 50%.
B	26th PPL to CPL Course	Very High Quality training for issue of CPL to PPL holders (with 60 hrs. of flying) with Multi-engine endorsement and IR on Single / Multi-engine Aircraft	03	01	-	Presently 1 ½ Years. Likely to be reduced to less than 1 year.	10+2 or its equivalent (With Maths, Physics & English) and valid Indian PPL/ PPL under issue. A total of 60 hrs. of flying including 30 hrs. of Solo since 1st November 2004.

Note:-

i) In case SC/ST candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation the seat would be de-reserved for General Category.

ii) Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree from Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, which shall be conducted alongside CPL Course subject to completion of the prescribed syllabus on aviation subjects, flying and project work.

Duration of this course will be 03 years.

3. Age Limit for WOMBAT 2007: Minimum age limit for both the courses is 17 years as on 01 Nov 2007.

4. Medical: For Course at ‘A’ candidates will have to submit a Class-II Medical Fitness Certificate from a DGCA approved Doctor at the time of joining. For details of Doctors, visit Website www.dgca.nic.in and for Course at ‘B’ Medical Fitness Certificate from AFCME, Delhi or IAM Bangalore.

5. Training fee: Provisional Rs.19.00 Lakhs for Course ‘A’ and Rs.14.00 Lakhs for Course ‘B’ payable in four installments.

6. Fee for B. Sc. (Aviation) Degree Course: Rs. 9000/-.

7. Boarding & Lodging: Hostel accommodation within the campus on twin sharing basis (Separate for Boys & Girls) and Messing is available on a monthly charges of approximately Rs. 4000/- per month.

8. Selection Process for WOMBAT Aptitude Test 2007: Selection procedure consists of Written Test, WOMBAT (Aptitude Test), Viva Test and Interview in the following manner:-

a) Written Test: At allotted centres on 9th September, 2007 at 10:30 hrs onwards.

WOMBAT - Aptitude Test 2007 Examination Centres:

(i) New Delhi,(ii) Mumbai (iii) Chennai (iv) Lucknow (v) Kolkatta (vi) Hyderabad (vii) Bhopal

(Choice of two centres are to be made. Allotment of centre will depend on number of candidates.)

WOMBAT Aptitude Test 2007 Syllabus for Written Test:

(a) For Course (A):
Paper-I: General English, Maths, Physics and Reasoning (10+2 level)

(b) For Course (B):
Paper- I: Aviation Subjects (PPL Level) and Paper- II : Reasoning

Qualifying Marks in Written Test: 60% for General category & 55% for SC/ST.

b) Wondrous Original Method Of Basic Airmanship Testing (WOMBAT) - Aptitude Test:

To be conducted at Delhi for Delhi candidates from 20th to 24th September, 2007.

For other candidates at IGRUA, Raebareli from 3rd to 5th October, 2007

Minimum qualifying marks for WOMBAT test are 70%.
No relaxation will be given for SC/ST Candidates in WOMBAT (Aptitude Test).

c) Interview: Interview for all successful candidates in WOMBAT will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from 3rd October, 2007 onwards.

9. Admit Cards: Intimation regarding examination centre will be sent by Post/ E-mail directly to the candidates. If not received by 31st August, 2007, IGRUA office can be contacted on telephone. Information regarding examination center, test & Interview will be available on IGRUA website too.

10. Traveling Allowance to SC/ST: SC/ST candidates selected for WOMBAT Test/ Interview after qualifying the written test will be provided 2nd Class Railway fare to and fro IGRUA, Raebareli from their residence to appear for the interview as per Rules.

11. How to Apply for WOMBAT - Aptitude Test 2007: Application should be submitted in prescribed format, also available on website: http://www.igrua.gov.in

The following documents are required alongwith the application form:-

For Course 'A':

a) Copy of proof of age (10th class certificate), mark sheets of 10th & 12th standard and higher qualifications, if any, caste certificate (for SC/ST) - all documents attested by a Gazetted Officer.

b) Three self-attested recent passport size photographs.

c) Non-refundable Application fee Rs. 3,000/- by Demand Draft in favour of ‘IGRUA’ drawn on any nationalized Bank payable at New Delhi or Raebareli .

For Course 'B':

d) All documents as for course 'A' and Flying hours (attested by CFI) and PPL (attested by Gazetted Officer)

Application and WOMBAT fee is not applicable for SC/ST candidates.

12. Last Date : Last date of receipt of application is 21st July, 07.
