Punjab JET 2013 Entrance Exam

Punjab State Board of Technical Education JET 2013 ( Joint Entrance Test ) will be conducted by the Board for admission to various Diploma Courses which are being offered or proposed to be offered in the Institutions.

Punjab State Board of Technical Education admission to the Institutions will be based on the JET merit category wise. Reservation shall be as per reservation policy of Government of Punjab / UT Chandigarh.

PSBTE JET 2013 Eligibility

Eligibility for Punjab JET 2013 : The test shall be open to candidates who have passed the matriculation or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Science ( Physics, Chemistry & Biology ) and English from State Board / central Board i.e. CBSE / ICSE / National Open School or from any other country.

PSBTE JET 2013 Examination Scheme

Punjab JET 2013 will have one paper of 200 questions ( English – 40, General awareness and Aptitude – 40, Mathematics – 40, Physics – 40, Chemistry – 40 ).

The question paper will have multiple choice objective type questions only. There will be no negative marking in the JET. The objective type questions shall be answered on a pre – printed Optical Mark Reader ( OMR ) answer sheet. The candidate is required to mark his / her responses as per instructions given on the OMR answer sheet.

Punjab JET 2013 Exam Centres

The JET will be conducted at all district head quarts and important cities based on the number of candidates. The exact location of the Examination Centre at these places will be intimated in the Admit Card, which shall be issued to the candidates on acceptance of their Application Form by the Board.

* In case number of candidates opting for these places falls below 100, the PSBTE JET Examination centres shall be shifted to nearby major city.

PSBTE JET Application Form

A) JET Punjab Application Availability of Prospectus :

For appearing in the JET only OMR application form needs to be submitted. The form is available at a cost of 50/- only.

B) Submission of Punjab JET Application Form 2013 :

JET Punjab Application Form ( also referred to as OMR Form ) complete in all respects should be enclosed in the envelop supplied with the form and submitted at affiliated polytechnic institutions and at the Board’s Office on or before last date of submission of Application Form.

Last date for submission of PSBTE JET Application Form 2013 : 7th March, 2013.

PSBTE JET 2013 Admit Card

Candidates who do not receive the Admit Card by 1st Week of May may contact Board’s office on 4, 5 and 6th April, 2013 for issue of Duplicate Admit Cards. Admit Card can only be issued after showing photocopy of the submitted Application Form.

A copy of the Admit Card is also available in the Board’s websites. Candidates, who do not receive Admit Card by post, can take a print out from websites and proceed to the Examination centre alongwith a copy of the passport size photograph.

PSBTE JET 2013 Admission Procedure

• Detail procedure including reservation policy for admission to various diploma courses shall be outlined in Admission Prospectus after the JET test.
• Admission Prospectus will be made available from the 3rd week of April, 2013. The exact date shall be notified through newspapers.
• Admission Prospectus will be available at a cost of 250/- through District Suvidha Centres, Banks, Book sellers and the affiliated institutions.
• This Admission forms shall be then submitted by the candidates at District Suvidha Centres, Banks and the affiliated institutions with a processing fee of 300/.
• The online admission counseling will not be charged any fee and shall be started from the last week of June, 2013.

PSBTE JET 2013 Counselling

PSBTE JET 2013 Procedure for Online Counseling

National Informatics Centres ( NIC ), New Delhi has been entrusted with the task of implementing ON – LINE OFF CAMPUS counseling. The procedure to be followed for ON-LINE OFF CAMPUS counseling is as under. Admission of candidates, who fulfill all other conditions for admission, shall be effected on the basis of the relative merit in Joint Entrance Test, subject to reservation of seats as per policy of Government.

Number of PSBTE JET 2013 Seats

The number of seats allocated for each course in each institution and profile of the institution can be seen in the prospectus. These numbers are tentative and there may be alteration in the number of Institution / courses or in the sanctioned intake of each courses before the start of admissions.

In addition to this, 10% additional seats over the sanctioned intake in various diploma courses is available for women, economical backward and physically handicapped candidates. The admission for the same shall be made by committee headed by Deputy Commissioner of the respective District. The details are available in Punjab Government notification No. 13/60/0 8-1752 dated 02.09.2008.

PSBTE JET 2013 Fees

The fee structure for all the institutions shall be as per policy of respective Governments. The latest fee structure, if any, for Punjab as well as Chandigarh will be notified through websites at the time of admissions.
The security amount deposited by the candidates shall be refunded to them on successful completion of Diploma course by the concerned institution.
