Karnataka PGCET  Eligibility 2019

General Eligibilities

  • Candidates of Karnataka and non-Karnataka  for seats surrendered by the management for ( MBA / MCA)  both can apply.
  • SC / ST / Category-I / OBC is applicable to Karnataka candidates only.
  • Candidates of Karnataka state should have the domicile of Karnataka.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.

Qualification Criteria

MBA

  • A candidate who has passed Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses. ( 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates ) ( Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates ).

MBA Part Time

  • A candidate who has passed recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses ( 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates ). ( Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates ) In addition to this a candidate after obtaining the degree, must have worked for not less than three years as on 31st July, 2019, in an establishment and must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

MCA

  • A candidate who has passed any recognized under graduate examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Computer Programming or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MCA courses. 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates.
  • Provided that in respect of candidate who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified above in Pre-University Course with fifty percent of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. 45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates.

MCA Lateral Entry

  • A candidate who has passed recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination in BCA, B.Sc ( I.T. / Computer Science ) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduate Level and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MCA courses ( 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates ) ( Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates ).

M.E. / M. Tech. / MArch ( Full Time )

  • A candidate with valid GATE score.
  • A candidate who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses ( 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates. ( Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates ).

M.E. / M. Tech. / MArch ( Part Time )

  • Candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses ( 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I Karnataka candidates ) ( Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates ).
  • In addition to this candidate after obtaining the complete degree, must have worked for not less than three years as on 31st July, 2019, in an establishment and must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.
  • However, the employer has to fill up the NOC duly signed by the competent authority.

Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern 2019

  • The exam will be organized through offline mode
  • The question paper will be published inEnglish language only.
  • The complete paper will be of 100 marks.
  • Duration of exam is 150 minutes will be provided for whole exam.
  • The questios  will be comprised of Multiple Choice Question.
  • There will be no negative marking.

Karnataka PGCET Application Form 2019

  • The application forms can be filled and submitted through online mode only.
  • Karnataka PGCET application form are available at KEA official Website: www.kea.kar.nic.in.
  • Karnataka PGCET application form 2019 will be started from the third week of May, 2019.
  • The online application form will be closed in the first week of June, 2019.
  • Candidates should fill the application form with all care as per the course.
  • Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature & Left Hand Thumb Impression ( JPEG format ).

Application fee

  • The application fee for each course will be Rupee650/- for General and OBC.
  • The fee for SC / ST and category-I of Karnataka state only will be Rupee500/-.
  • The application fee can be paid through challan deposited in any of the branch of state bank of Mysore.
  • Candidates can also pay the application fee in e-payment post offices

Karnataka PGCET Admit Card 2019

  • The authority will release the admit card through online mode. Karnataka PGCET hall ticket can be accessed from the fourth week of June, 2019.
  • Candidates can use their application number and date of birth to download their admit card. Candidates should keep their admit card till the admission procedure.

Karnataka PGCET  Syllabus 2019

  • The authority will prepare the syllabus for the exam as per the subjects mentioned in the exam pattern. The complete syllabus for MBA / MCA / M.Tech / M.Arch will be provided on the official website.
  • The syllabus will be different or each course. The candidates are advised to go through the complete oficial syllabus to score well in the exam.

Karnataka PGCET Result 2019

  • Candidates can view their result through online mode. Karnataka PGCET result 2019 can be accessed by entering the application number and date of birth. It will be published by the authority in the third week of August 2019.
  • The answer key will be published by the exam authority within three days of completion of the examination. The answer key can be viewed in the second week of July 2019. A separate merit list will be prepared for all courses on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in PGCET exam.

Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2019

  • Karnataka PGCET counselling 2019 will be started from the first week of September, 2019. The counselling will be organized through offline mode. Candidates need to be present in person at the time of counselling in specified date and time.
  • The KEA will publish all the details of candidates those selected seats under reserved category for MBA, MCA, M.E /M.Tech / M.Arch courses after the last round of counselling. The seats will be allotted only after the verification of all original documents.
