The Kashmir University applications on the prescribed form are invited for admission to MPhil and PhD programs of the faculty of Oriental Learning in the subjects given below :

• Persian
• Sanskrit

Kashmir University Eligibility Criteria 2012

1. The candidates desirous to seek admission must have secured not less than 55 % marks at Masters level and shall have to qualify the Entrance Test. However, the JRF / NET / SET qualified candidates and college teachers with five years service are exempted from appearing in the test.
2. Permanent University teachers with one year substantive service, Contractual University lecturers with one academic Session teaching experience, College / Schools teachers and state employees with two years substantive service, are eligibile on part time basis but they have to qualify the Kashmir University entrance test.
3. The candidate seeking admission to PhD program must have qualified MPhil with at least B Grade. Besides, the following categories of the candidates shall be eligible for direct admission to Kashmir University PhD program.

• The Kashmir University application form can be downloaded from the official website www.kashmiruniversity.net and the applicant has to deposit fee 25 /- in the University Chest. The form can also be had from the sale counter of University on a payment of 25 /- beside an entrance test fee of 775 /- is to be deposited in the University Chest.
• Facility of online submission of forms is also available.
• The Candidates who have already applied vide admission Notice No : F( MPhil / PhD / Admi / DFA / KU / 12 ) Dated : 20th June, 2012. The Candidates not to apply again.

The last date for receipt of Kashmir University application forms in the department concerned is on : 25th August, 2O12.

Note : In service candidates may enclose a copy of first appointment order with their application form.
