NAARM Admission Process 2013 :

Eligibility :

The minimum qualification for admission into the program is a Four Year Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following subjects from any Agricultural University or  Institution recognized by the ICAR / UGC :

  • Agriculture
  • Agri – Business Management / Commercial Agriculture and Agri – Business Management / Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Agricultural Information Technology
  • Bioinformatics
  • Biotechnology
  • Dairy Technology
  • Energy and Environmental Engineering
  • Fisheries
  • Food Technology / Food Process Engineering
  • Forestry
  • Horticulture
  • Sericulture
  • Veterinary Science

The students who are going to complete their Degree by July, 2013 are also eligible to apply.

Total Number of Seats : 30 ( Thirty ).

The reservation of seats will be available for OBC, SC,  ST and Physically Handicapped category as per Government of India rules.

NAARM Selection Process 2013 :

Those who possess eligible Educational Qualifications and wish to join PGDMA, must apply  for Joint Entrance Test – Agri – Business Management ( JET – ABM ) – 2013.

Registering for NAARM  JET – ABM 2013 :

  1. On – line registration on JET – ABM website www.jetabm.gov.in ( preferred  process ). (or)
  2. Download of application from the web sites of any one of the web sites of the three participating Institutions and posting the completed application.  (or)
  3. Request for application form and prospectus by post and posting the  completed application.

JET – ABM Test Procedure 2013 :

The JET – ABM, 2013 would include the questions in the following areas :

  1. Knowledge of Agriculture will have 40 questions covering the  following areas :
    • General Agriculture
    • Agricultural Engineering
    • Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    • Fisheries
    • Food Sciences
    • Forestry
    • Horticulture
  2. Quantitative Aptitude will have 40 questions covering the subjects like Statistics and Data Interpretation.
  3. Logical Ability will have 40 questions covering the subjects like Reasoning, Extrapolation, Deduction etc.
  4. Proficiency in English will have 40 questions covering the subjects like Reading Comprehension, Paraphrasing, Sentence Correction / Completion, Synonyms and Antonyms etc.
  5. General Awareness will have 20 questions from the areas of Current Affairs, General Knowledge and Elementary Aspects of Agri – Business.

Examination Date of JET – ABM, 2013 : March, 2013.

Duration of JET – ABM, 2013 will be of 2 hours with a total of 180 Questions.

The right answer will be given one mark and wrong answer will be awarded -1/3 mark.

NAARM JET – ABM Final Selection 2013 :

  1. JET – ABM  2013 result will be announced by April 2013, on the JET – ABM website : www.jetabm.gov.in.
  2. Based on the scores of JET – ABM, 2013, Short – Listed candidates would be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The following criteria would be used for Admission into PGDMA at NAARM :

  • JET – ABM Score ( 50% )
  • Group Discussion ( 20% )
  • Personal Interview ( 20% )
  • Academic Record ( 10% )

Important Dates and other Information :

  1. Date of start of JET – ABM : January, 2013.
  2. Last date for submission of JET – ABM 2010 : Second week of Febrauary, 2013.
  3. JET – ABM Examination : March, 2013.
  4. JET – ABM Results 2 or 3 week of  April, 2013.
  5. Group Discussions & Personal Interview 3 or 4 week of April, 2013.
  6. Final Results of JET – ABM 2010 : May, 2013.
  7. Course Commencement : July, 2013.
