Under Graduate Programmes
B.Tech

  • Canditate should have been Passed or appearing ( in the year 2019 ) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Technology / Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics / Statistics / Technical Vocational subject or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority with atleast 45% marks ( 40% in case of SC / ST / OBC category )

B.Tech Lateral Entry

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( in the year 2019 ) three year Diploma examination in Engineering / Hotel Management with at least 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training ( SCTE&VT ), Odisha or equivalent. or
  • Canditate Should have been Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject

B.Pharm

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing at 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state / central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities ( AIU ) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics ( P.C.M ) and or Biology ( P.C.B / P.C.M.B ) as optional subjects individually.
  • Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. ( As per the norms and regulations of Pharmacy Council of India )

B.Pharm Lateral Entry

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( in the year 2019 ) at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) from State Board of Pharmacy ( SBP ), Odisha, or equivalent.

B.Sc. in Nursing ( Basic )

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing at 10+2 examination ( 2019 ) with atleast 45% marks in aggregate ( Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together ) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC / ST / OBC candidates and must have passed in English.
  • Age Limit : The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December, 2019.

B.Sc. in Nursing ( Post Basic )

  • Canditate Should have been Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council.

B.Sc in Agriculture

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing at 10+2 examination ( 2019 ) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General and OBC categories, 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories, with PCM / PCB / PCMB subject combinations. Candidates must have passed in English 10+2 examination.
  • Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December, 2019.

B.A. LLB. ( Hons ) and B.B.A. LLB. ( Hons )

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( 2019 ) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC / ST and 42% in case OBC. There is no upper age limit at present, however it is subjected to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and BCI notification in this regard.

MCA Lateral Entry

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( in the year 2019 ) in three year Bachelor of Computer Application  ( BCA ), B.Sc. in Information Technology ( H ) and B.Sc. in Computer Science ( H ) or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level, with atleast 50% of marks in aggregate ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category ) at the qualifying examination from any recognized University.

MBA / MHA / MHM / MTTM

  • Canditate Should have been Passed  or appearing ( 2019 ) minimum three years of Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts / B.E. / B.Tech. / MBBS / B.Pharm. / B.Sc. Agri. / BVSC / BHMS / BAMS / BDS / BPT / BHMCT / BBA / BCA examination or equivalent, from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category ).

M.Pharm.

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or  appearing ( 2019 ) at B.Pharm examination from any recognized University with atleast 55% marks.
  • The admission of selected candidates shall be subjected to any other mandatory requirements as per the norms of Pharmacy Council of India.

M.Sc. ( Biotechnology / Nano Science & Nano Technology / Medicinal & Aromatic Plants / Molecular Biology)

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( 2019 ) at Bachelor degree in Science / Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering & Technology / Medicine ( MBBS / BDS ) / Physics ( Honours ) / Chemistry ( Honours) / Mathematics (Honours) or equivalent from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( 2019 ) at Bachelor degree in Science Physics ( Honours ) / Chemistry ( Honours ) / Mathematics ( Honours ) or equivalent respectively from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category

M.Sc. ( Chemical Biology & Drug Design )

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( 2019) B.Sc. with Chemistry ( Honours ) / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / B.Pharm / M.Pharm with atleast 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category ).

M.Sc. in Nursing

  • Canditate Should have been Passed  B.Sc. Nursing ( Basic / Post Basic ) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area after registration in respective State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.

LLM

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing 2019 Bachelor degree in Law or studied Integrated Law courses or equivalent thereof, from any recognized university.

M.Sc. ( Agriculture )

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( 2019 ) B.Sc. ( Agriculture ) / B.Sc.( Horticulture ) from any recognized University by State and Central Government Marks in qualifying examination.
  • Candidate should have OGPA 6.5 and GPA 7.0 in concerned discipline on 10 point scale.
  • Candidate belonging to SC / ST / PH shall have OGPA 5.5 And GPA 6.0 in concerned discipline on a 10 point scale.
  • The requirement of minimum percentage of marks ( OGPA / GPA ) as indicated above shall not be applicable to the candidate sponsored by State Government / Central Government / Nominee of ICAR.
  • Minimum age limit is 21 year as on 31st August, 2019.
  • No relaxation in age limit.

MBA ( Agribusiness )

  • Canditate Should have been Passed or appearing ( 2019 ) B.Sc. ( Ag ) / B.V.Sc. & A.H / B.Tech. ( Ag. Engg ) / B.Tech. ( Dairy Science / Biotechnology ) /B.F.Sc. B.Sc.( Forestry ) / BAMS / B.Sc.( Hort ) / B.Sc.( H.Sc ) / B.Tech / B.Sc. / B.Com. / BBA from a recognized University with 50% marks for general and 45% marks for SC / ST / PH candidates and 55% for Graduate of Agriculture and allied subjects

Siksha O Anusandhan Admission Seats SAAT 2019

Reservation Policy

  • 15% and 7.5% seats in all programmes are reserved respectively for candidates belonging to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe by birth ( not by marriage or adoption )
  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe persons who have migrated from their state of origin to another state for the purpose of seeking education, employment etc., will be deemed to be Scheduled Caste / Tribe of state of their origin and will be entitled to derive benefits from the state of origin and not from the state to which they have migrated. ( Vide Govt. India Letter No. BC/160 14.1.82 SC & BCD / dated 22nd february 1985 ). Thus, SC / ST candidates from Odisha who are staying outside the state have to produce SC / ST certificate from the competent authority of Odisha State during counselling
  • Separate merit lists will be drawn up for each reserved category. If eligible candidates belonging to one reserved category are not available, seats can be filled up by the candidates belonging to the general category.
  • OBC candidates are only eligible for mark relaxation.
  • Candidates applying for SC / ST / OBC reserved category shall furnish SC / ST / OBC certificate from the Tahasildar of the place of birthat the time of counselling in the format given in the website along with original caste certificate.
  • 3% seats are reserved for physically disabled ( PH ) candidates for admission to engineering / technology / MBA / MCA / HMCT / Pharmacy / Nursing / Biotechnology courses and candidates are eligible to be considered under Physically Handicapped Category for admission to these courses with 40% disabilities in consonance with section-39 of the Persons with Disabilities ( Equal opportunities, Protection of Rights and full participation ) Act, 1995. Candidates applying for PH reserved category shall have to furnish a medical certificate from a medical board constituted under the chairmanship of Dean, Institute of Medical Science & SUM Hospital ( IMS & SH ) with senior professors of the Institute of Medical Science & SUM Hospital ( IMS & SH ) and Director ( Admissions ) of SOA or his representatives at the time of counselling in format given in the website. The board should certify that they are eligible to be categorized as physically handicapped candidates with capable of undergoing each part of the requirements for above mentioned studies. The decision of the Medical Board will be final & binding.
  • They Should Not, therefore, submit along with the application form any medical certificate to the effect that they are physically handicapped. Visual disability and hearing impairment candidates are not eligible as stipulated by Medical Council of India.   • 30% of seats under each category for all the programmes are reserved for women candidates.
  • Seats available under general category in any course are those available after deduction of the number of seats pertaining to the reserved categories from the total number of seats available for that particular course.
  • For admission into a programme a candidate belonging to reserved categories can also compete under general category provided he / she satisfies all conditions of eligibility for the same. At the time of counselling for admission, a candidate figuring in the merit list for both reserved and general categories may first exercise his / her option for the institute and discipline for admission under reserved category. A candidate who forgoes his / her option under reserved categories is entitled to exercise his / her option subsequently for the institute and discipline for admission according to his / her merit position under general category.
  • If a candidate does not report during scheduled date / hour of counselling, he / she will be treated as an absentee and no seat will be kept reserved for him / her. A candidate failing to report for counselling will not be permitted to participate in the counselling subsequently under any circumstances.
  • If all the seats belonging to ST reserved category are not filled up due to nonavailability
    of candidates belonging to ST category, such vacant seats may be filled up by candidates belonging to SC category. If all the seats belonging to SC reserved category are not filled up due to non-availability of candidates belonging SC category, such vacant seats may be filled up by general category. If all the seats belonging to PH reserved category are not filled up due to nonavailability of candidates belonging to PH category, such vacant seats may be filled up by candidates belonging to general category.
  • Seats reserved under women category will be filled up by general category candidates in case the same are not filled up.
  • No reservation norms are applicable for lateral entry admissions

Siksha O Anusandhan Admission  SAAT Exam Pattern 2019

  • In each of the sections, every question is followed by 4 answer options. Choose the option that is most appropriate. Indicate candidater answer by clicking on the circle adjacent to the option candidate think is right.
  • Candidate can go to any question directly by clicking on the question number, which will appear at the bottom of the screen. The answered question number will be marked Green and the unanswered / skipped question number will remain in blue.
  • If candidate are doubtful of the answer, candidate can mark a question for review using the ‘Mark for review button’. This will be unmarked once candidate come back to the same question at a later time and change the answer.
  • If candidate want to change the answer of any question, candidate may select the question and change the answer by clicking on the appropriate answer.
  • Each correct answer fetches 4 marks. There is negative marking. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • If candidate have completed answering all the questions in the sequence of a particular section, candidate will be automatically directed to the first question of the next section.
  • Candidate can move between sections at candidater will.
  • The test closes automatically once the allotted time of 120 Minutes are over.
  • In case candidate finish candidater test before allotted time, candidate will get a confirmation page which will give candidate two options. Either to go back to the test or to complete the test.
  • In case candidate want to review the answers in the remaining time candidate can do so, else candidate may complete the test and submit. Ensure that candidate click on submit as a sign of completion.

  • Siksha O Anusandhan University admission application form can be downloaded from website www.soa.ac.in.
  • Candidate need to submit the following Documents for final admission
    • Seat Confirmation / Allotment Letter, in original.
    • All original mark sheets & certificates of class 10th & 12th
    • Original CLC / SLC, Conduct and Migration certificate.
    • 3 recent passport size colour photograph.
    • Aadhaar card of the candidate.
    • Original Caste Certificate ( If applicable )
    • 2 sets of photocopy of all mark sheets & certificates, mentioned above

Siksha O Anusandhan Admission Admit Card 2019

  • The Hall Ticket will be issued only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their online application forms complete in all respects, on or before the last date as specified.
  • The Hall Ticket will contain name, photograph, programme, subject, address of the candidate, address of the Test Centre allotted and test schedule.
  • Hall ticket can be downloaded from 5th April, 2019 onward through candidates login / dashboard.
  • The Hall Ticket once received should be carefully examined by the candidate. If any discrepancy is noticed it should immediately be brought to the notice of the Director, Admissions.
  • No candidate will be permitted to attend the test without a valid Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket should be presented to the invigilators for verification.
  • Candidate must not tamper with the Hall Ticket or alter any entry made therein after it has been authenticated.
  • The Hall Ticket is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
  • The Hall Ticket is an important document. It should be preserved and produced at the time of counseling and admission.
  • Hall Ticket not received due to application being incomplete: SOA University does not take any responsibility to inform candidates whose applications are incomplete. Candidates are advised to double check that the application form is complete in all respects before posting.
  • Candidates must preserve the admit card till the admission process is over.

  • candidate are  selected through SAAT 2019
  • And the reservations shall be followed as per the reservation policy mentioned in the following section of this document.
  • Online counselling will be done based on the merit and choice of the candidate. The detailed processes and schedule will be notified after the ranks are published.
  • During final admission ( dates to be notified after online counselling ) all certificates in original will be verified. For records of the Institutes, two sets of attested copies of the certificates and mark sheets etc. will be collected
  • A candidate selected through the counselling for a course is admitted and registered as a student of SOA deemed to be University automatically.
